One of the items that attracted me to this payday loan company was there would be no need to fax any materials. I expected to fill out the application and be granted a loan within minutes as they say in their advertising.

I filled out the application, which took way more than a few minutes. They granted me a loan, and then required that I send a copy of my pay stub or bank statement via fax.

The whole process, including reading all the legal stuff, took me over an hour. It may have taken longer, but I stopped the process as soon as I saw the fax requirement.

I tried to call the company(ies) but the only phone line they offer is an automated one. They presented at least a couple phone numbers that they implied would be answered by a live human. The numbers are answered by the same computer. No human contact.

I sent them a letter via fax about my concerns and have not heard back.

Still being contacted about an outstanding TenDollarPayday Loan that is from 2007

AUTHOR: MRSHBIC - ()

POSTED: Friday, April 19, 2013

Friday, April 19, 2013

First off, let me start by saying I took out "several" loans with TenDollarPaydayloan.com back in 2007, and despite the fact that I have Bipolar Disorders I & II, I keep extremely organized records. I have records proving that these loans were paid in full (settled) and that my account with the company was closed, because the last loan I applied for was denied. When I call the automated system using these numbers: 800-992-9482, 866-859-6132, 866-465-5054, or 866-213-0268.

Apparently, 800-325-8208 is not even their number anymore. The woman who answered stated that: they get numerous calls inquiring about "MTE Financial Services, or TenDollarPayday loans" and she stated that she has no idea who those companies are, nor does she have any contact information with them.

My real question is "How long" can they continue to harrass you regarding these internet loans. I thought 7 years was the maximum time allowed, especially in the District of Columbia since we aren't even a state. I thought 7 years was the maximum reporting and collection statue of limitation. I'd like someone to provide some information regarding that.

Also, I suggest to anyone on here whose filed a report here or who have honestly tried to work with the collection agencies that have contacted you regarding their accounts, please keep all records. I've asked for "copies or proof" of the final loan that they "claim to have given me" that I defaulted on. All I received is more "phone calls, and emails" threatening to subpeona me into court because they are claiming I've committed a felony.

I also have a loan through this company

I have been dealing with this company for about 6 months now, have never had any problems. But the comment about no faxing, everything has a fine print. They require no faxing if your company can verify that you work where you work. If the company cannot verify your employment, they will ask you for proof that you work.

My company stated that they did not know of me, and I have been here a year. But it was because I gave the wrong phone number. Its all common sense, everything has a policy. So read everything before you take the next step.

PayDay loans are the path to financial hell

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

Ditto car title loans.

The interest and fees will kill you.

Maybe you should carefully study the payday loan trap to learn why you should avoid it.

I read an article in Time magazine, perhaps 2 months back, about a musican who got a $250 loan against his Chevy Lumina to pay his rent on time and avoid being a few days late. [Now if he HAD been late with his rent, he would have been hit with a $25 late rent fee.] In the end the car title loan cost him $1225 in fees and interest PLUS his also lost his car. He was late returning on a Friday and he called & told the loan company that he would be in Monday with the money, but the loan company repoed the car very early Saturday morning.

So borrow from these payday and car title loan outfits at your own very substantial risk.
