Multi-Care Auburn General Cat Scan from H*** Auburn Washington

My hospital stay was nothing short of a disaster in the making.  The objective of my visit was to get a CRT scan for possible Pancreatitis and return the results back to my doctor.  Sounds pretty simple, but my visit to the ER turned into a disaster.  My health condition was stable and I required no further medical intervention.

Case and point, the ER Doctor thought let’s get him out of pain, sounded good to me, so they gave me Dilaudid.  My Oxygen saturation went from 97 to 38, my wife pointed this out as soon as the alarm went off, but of course the doctor said this was only a malfunctioning monitor.  My wife again grabbed the doctor going by and brought it too his attention, but then again was told it was nothing more than a defective monitor.  My wife grew even more concerned as the alarm kept going off and grabbed a nurse going by and he said; wait I will bring in another monitor, he came right back and hooked it up, strange it read the same as the previous one.  The nurse brought in a third monitor; it read the same as the first and second monitor.  The flags go up and they suspect that I need oxygen.

Issues, sudden drop in Oxygen saturation after receiving Dilaudid, I am not a doctor, but is this either a really bad reaction or just a simple overdose?  My wife pointed out to the ER doctor that I was hallucinating; I was continuing hand movements to push my mouse and save data on my imaginary computer.  The doctor was unconvinced by my wife’s statement and observations.  The following care then focus on I must have Pneumonia, I say bullshit.

Next Issue, I was sent up for CRT scan, which returned as negative, but attending physician did not agree with findings and went back up and had results changed to inconclusive.  This meant I would have to stay two more days, just to get a CRT scan.

My wife tried for three days to get me released and they kept coming up with some other bullshit test, which were not required.   Day 3, attending physician say’s he was going to start me on cumiden and starts pouring Heparin into me, I say bullshit.  The second scan comes back negative and no clotting. The doctor realizes cumiden was not required, and relents.  The nurse comes in 10 minutes later with another bag of Heparin, we look at her say what the heck are you doing?  The nurse goes back and reads the chart, never to return.

Day 3, Roommate dies, I was taken to the broom closet to sleep, because there were no other open beds and they needed to do their investigation.

This entire experience seems to focus on a hospital trying to maximize their profit, while putting the patient at risk.  Somehow you managed to run up the total
