I ordered some products from this company in Feb 2012.  I received items that I did not order, that i returned and asked not to be sent anymore products from this company again.  The company received the letter and the items back and refuded me for the unordered product.

A few days later I get a call asking for a new credit card number because my card had expired.  I told them no, that I was not giving them a credit card number and that I wated no further dealing with this company at all. In April 2012 two months later I see a charge from this company.  I did not order any product.

Furthermore they did not have a curent credit card number on file for me so they attempted to charge my cedit card using various expiration dates until they finally stumbled upon the correct credit card expirations.  My bank calls this "fishing" and tells me it is illegal and highly unlikely that an reputable company would do this.  It's sneaky and illegal.

They charged my card illegally and fradualently and now will not refund my money unless I PAY to return products that I never ordered. They illegally charged a credit card number using an expiration date that they were never given.  It'a blatent violation of CA code. I will pay cout filing fees if an attorney wants to draft and split the settlement.

Mistaken

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 17, 2012

I've had credit cards for a long time.  At renewal time, never has a bank sent me a replacement card with the exact same number and only the expiration date changed.  It has always been a different number with a new expiration date.  "

That is not normal.    The only time your credit card account number should change is if you closed it due to fraud.  Then you get a new card with a new number.    The number on the card is the account number and does NOT change automatically when the card is renewed.    The only thing that should change on a normal renewal is the expiration date and the 3-digit security code on the back of the card.

Hard to Believe

AUTHOR: SBC - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 17, 2012

I have nothing to do with Melaleuca at the moment and have just been looking at the products for the purpose of buying environmentally safe products from a reliable company.  So, I have been doing research before purchasing anything.  I find this report hard to believe for this reason.  I've had credit cards for a long time.  At renewal time, never has a bank sent me a replacement card with the exact same number and only the expiration date changed.  It has always been a different number with a new expiration date.  That has been a pain from time to time since I've had to go online and change my credit card number if I have a bill that charges against it every month.  But, that's OK because it ensures better security.  So, I don't understand this "fishing" story.

Melaleuca

I really find it hard to believe this report. My wife and I have been customers of Melaleuca since 1994! We would never support a company, by buying their products, if it was a scam or conducted business in an unlawful manner. You definitely need to take this report as unreliable. The company made its first billion dollars in sales and has an A+ rating with the BBB. Would not doubt it one bit if this report was from a multilevel marketer who lost customers to Melaleuca, a real company.
