Falling upon hard times I was unable to pay my credit cards and my identity to top it off was also stolen. It had been a couple of years since i had made any payments, but was I was convinced by my mother to go here and fix my credit (who saw the commercial on Television) Upon arrival we spoke to Lourdes and later on to Jenny, (their employees speak mainly speak spanish or very little english) we were told that all we would have to pay was $499.00 and my credit would be fixed in 3 months (this was back in april). I payed them my money and i made a deposit of $150.00 for my mother to fix hers as well because i was told i could make installments. They would tell me to send them papers when they came in the mail, then would dissapear every once in a while and then come back again and everytime it was to collect more money. Then they called me asking me for an additional $250.00 ?! I was astonished, i said what for? and she said for removing inquiries. The Inquiries in my opinion, wouldnt have even been known that were removed if not for me voluntarily faxing them all the papers i was receving at home. I told Lourdes I could not afford it, and that I wasnt really that intersted in the inquiries, the reason i came to them was because i wanted my outstanding credit cards to be removed. She said that if i didnt pay up in a week that the inquiries would be added back on, and I would lose my "association fee" of $499.00 (thats what it was, it wasnt even applied toward fixing my credit) and that I would no longer be able to fix my credit with them. I asked her if she could transfer the $150.00 I put down as a deposit for my mother to fix her credit and apply it to mine. Lourdes said no, that basically that money was lost. These people didnt fix my credit, they didnt do anying that they promised, but they did manage to get almost $650.00 from me. I am very dissapointed with them, it was a complete fraud and i feel like an idiot for trusting them and knowing that they now have access to my personal info and social security makes me cringe. Who knows if theyre even the ones adding the inquiries themselves onto my credit in the first place just to collect money! please, please, PLEASE reconsider using this company. They are a complete fraud and waste of time and money. This began in April 2014. It is now almost mid November and my promise of "3 months and your credit is fixed" is completely out the window. I am embarassed to have been swindled by them and hope to save any of you from this same feeling. I would LOVE to hear a rebuddle. To solve this, i would greatly like my moms unused deposit back and get most if not all of my money back.

Maribel,

I was promised by your company that in "3 months" my credit would be fixed and that my outstanding credit cards would be removed. All that they have done is just remove "inquiries", if I had known that was the case I would have never gone to Municipal Credit Services to begin with. The inquiries are not my main concern, I came to your company wanting to ressolve the issues with my outstanding credit cards and remove the "charge off's" you should know as "President" that charge off's is what most impacts a persons credit score, not measly inquiries. I told Lourdes from the beginning this is what i was there for and your company has not delivered. I also think it is a complete rip off that your comapny charges $25.00 to remove EACH inquiry, when to be quite honest it is something i can easily do myself, not to mention i paid an extra $75.00 ONTOP of the $500 "association fee" for an alert, which apparently isnt working if the person who stole my idenity continues checking my credit at different places and I have to constantly pay to remove their fraudulent inquiries, even though i have a police report.

Why wasnt a freeze issued on my account to begin with? I asked Lourdes to put one and she said "We will talk about that after you pay the $250" also find it " is this the was your company deals with their clients? Not to mention Lourdes is extremely rude, unprofessinal and unpleasent to work. Also, i find it very "curious" that the deposit I made towards my mothers credit which went unused (because she doesnt want to use your company after my experience) cannot be refunded or transfered to me so i can pay the ridiculous $250 debt i owe your company for removing the measly "inquiries". 

I have no problem paying your company for services rendered, as you can see I have paid you guys PLENTY of money in the past, if I felt that they were fixing my credit and doing what they had promised to do. I have paid a lot of money already, almost double what i intended to pay in the first place and still have bad credit and the issue i originally came to your company with is not resolved. 

Lastly, I want to kindly ask you to please refrain from ever posting my personal information and credit report online ever again. That is my personal information and i find it to be extremely unprofessional and an invasion of privacy and do not appreciate you posting it online on a public website. Goes to show how trust worthy your company is with peoples private information. I will be going by on Friday to see Lourdes once and for all to finally put this to rest, this has caused me so much stress and it is very unfortunate. I truly regret ever stepping foot into Municipal Credit Services and have learned my lesson.

Will you be there on Friday? I would like to speak to you in person. Also, since you had no problem finding my credit report why dont you get my number from my file and give me a call so we can talk about this? Or is this the way your company handles issues with their clients, pubicly on the internet? I find it very curious, you are so quick to respond to my post online, after I have been telling Lourdes how unhappy I am with the services your company has provided me with for months. I will no longer be responding to these posts over the internet, if you want to talk give me a call and we will talk about it over the phone.

Thanks for verifying your identity. I spoke to Lourdes and she told me you will be visiting our office next Friday, (November 28)

 

Attached are all items updated and removed from your credit reports using Municipal Credit Services, this confirm our service is not a scam… however, it is curious but the few complaints there are about Municipal Credit Service are from people who do not want to pay for the items deleted from their credit reports after those items have been removed from their files…

 

When you come we will give you details about paid and unpaid (pending) items… and resolve this matter to continue working in your file.
