I went looking for an internet business online while I was out of work. One of the sites I chacked out was Mydollarshop.com. They advertised that you could sign up for free to start your own business. Since it was free, I signed up to find out about the promotion. I agreed to receive the "My Dollar Shop Quickstart Guide" and pay shipping and handling of $1.97. I received the information in the mail and decided it was not what I wanted to do. The problem lies in their Terms of Service(TOS). You have to agree to their TOS to receive the free information excluding the shipping and handling charges. Unfortunately, somewhere in the TOS states(which I have not found yet), according to the customer support system, that your account will be automaticly set up and you will be charged a monthly fee of $39.95. I did not authorize an account to be set up. I only agreed to purchase the information and pay the shipping cost. The next thing I know, I started receiving $39.95 charges on my credit card. I called the 800-231-8664 number and talked with Justin. He refused to refund my money, cancel the account, and would not let me talk to a supervisor. I have contacted my bank and the BBB in Nevada, but have not had any resolution.

Be aware of internet free business promotions requiring a credit card for any information. Once they have your number your may lose all your money and credit. I am am forever checking out the RipOff report before I do anything, unfortunately, I did not this time. I thought I was requesting information only. They said that I had received an email stating that my account was being set up. I never received any such email. I did receive email stating that I had requested the information CD. With these companies, it is your word against theirs. If anyone has any suggestions on what can be done without hiring a lawyer please let me know.
