My Funding Resources.Com Success Advocates Grant Funding Scam Sandy, Utah

On November 16, 2010 I was contacted by Nate Hill of My Funding Resources, as a result of my online search for Government Grants. He called me, letting me know that his company worked with the Government and Private Individuals, that are giving free Grants to Businesses and Private Individuals. 

 He thoroughly interviewed me and also my friend Peggy (I referred her and paid for her). Nate came to the conclusion that I could get $65,000 for home improvements and $250,000 to help the cashflow in my business. Peggy was supposed to be getting $35,000. He informed us that they had individuals on hand that are willing to give us grants.

 He of course asked for all my financial information which made sense to give him. He said it would be easy and that a lot of Grants are still available until end of December and needed to be given.

 He asked for funds to be given to them upfront to do the research and also to apply on our behalf.

 Nate Hill also stated that he can guarantee that we would have grants in hand before the next credit card payments was due to cover the entire amount. Also, they would refund all the money if they could not come up with funding within three weeks. He said that they would send me all the details by e-mail within a few hours and that I had three days to cancel and would get my full money back, no questions asked....

 I paid $7,100 for myself and $2,700 for Peggy. After thinking about all of it and doing some research on the internet I decided that it didn't sound ledgitamate. I called Nate several times and then cancelled by e-mail with this company on the following saturday, three days after the initial contact date on November 16.

 My Funding Resources told me that we were supposed to cancel within three days and that it didn't count anymore since we should have cancelled by friday during business hours. According to Federal guidelines, cooling off period is three days after the initial date.

 I hadn't heard back from the company after that discussion and called my credit card company and mailed them the cancellation e-mail and all other correspondence to dispute the charge.

 When three weeks later someone called to set up a coaching session i notified them that i was no longer a client. They said they weren't aware of that but would check into it.

 Meanwhile i received a packet with some smaller grant possibilities that I needed to apply for and some contests and business funding (not grants) opportunities.

 I called the company again and told them I received this packet but had cancelled and that I would mail it back to them.

They said I needed to keep it as I had paid for it. I again asked for my money back.

After several weeks of going back and forth, including my credit card company, Success Advocates gave back $4000 ot of $9,800 they owed me back.

This is where it stands right now.... I am out $5,800 on my credit card with a very high interest rate. I will contact the Attorney General of NJ and UT and am looking to present this case to any interested lawyer and possible join a class action suit against My Funding Resources, Wealth Power Systems, Success Advocates, Evolution Management Systems and whatever other name this company does business under.

Please be warned.... this is a SCAM... do not agree to pay them any money......
