I received a $10.50 charge on my local hone service and they claim I signed up for it. I have never heard of them until this billing. On my loca phone bill is a # for Billing Resource of 800-296-8079 that when you call is not a working #. My phone company gave me the number of 800-736-7500 to call them, so that tells me the ophone company was aware of this illegal solicitation, the next day. When I called them, she verified that I was the one that unknowingly signed up for it. She actually had my birthdate. They make no refunds, but cancel the account so as not to accrue any further charges. This is theft, fraud, invasion of privacy and I am sure we could get mental anguish thrown in there too. Stop them before they are a monopoly.
