I lived in Timmaron Ridge Apartments for a year. During that time we had several different leasing managers and the office staff seemed to change every few months. The office staff was rude and unprofessional. So was the liason from the corporate office, Myan Management. They cared nothing for tenants. The company was very abusive to tenants, office staff would walk into units unannounced and without knocking and would frequently harrass, threaten and intimidate tenants from what I saw. This company through their staff would often inflate charges and charged sky high late fees for the slummish apartments people were living in. The units were crime filled and run down.
When Myan Management suddenly decided to sell the units, they suddenly started throwing everyone out and looking for reasons to evict people out the blue all the while adding erroneous fees to the tenants totalling hundreds of dollars the tenants could not explain. Most tenants were poor and black. They had no knowledge of the law and were highly distrustful of the courts. As soon as these people left, the company would not even give them time to pay these inflated, unsubstantiated charges and they immediately placed all the charges on their credit reports in effect holding these folks hostage. They didn't care that the apartments were in such shabby condition and that several times during the summer tenants would find they had no air and twice we had no water. My A/C repeatedly went out and I would go days without air in the middle of HOT Dallas Summers. I had to call repeatedly to get things fixed because the apartments were in such shabby condition. These people did not care. Found every which a way to rip you off.
They then assigned out the debt to ProCollect Collection Agency who would often call and harrass the emergency contacts on the applications. I complained to the Texas Attorney General and Procollect's manager lied like they were not harrassing my parents. The company would call and hang up repeatedly to my elderly parents and then when asked who was calling would say they were a "Temp Agency" before abruptly hanging up. My mom has AT&T and she had to trace the number to find out it was the collection agency.
Before the sale of the property the new manager of the company was overly aggressive with tenants and would often walk up on tenants, get in verbal altercations, hang up on tenants who called the office with apartment issues, and was caught sticking her finger in the face of two tenants who copmlained about the apartment. She would also physically threaten and yell at tenants. She had the entire Apartment Complex empty in just a month. They were throwing tenants out literally overnight. Myan Management Group railroaded their tenants in a last ditch attempt to increase their profit margins right before the sale. The apartments are now Arbor Vista in Dallas, TX.

And there are others. Just go to there website to make sure that the apartment you are looking at leasing is not managed by, in my opinion, these SLUMLORDS.

Myan Management knows who I am. They disregarded "EVERY" complaint I put forward to their office when I was a tenant regarding my air conditioning unit being down FOR MONTHS and the ROACHES that were EVERYWHERE and the ERRONEOUS CHARGES "ALL OF US" suddenly found ourselves with just before Myan Management sold the complex.
I worked 16 hour days while living at Timmaron Ridge Apartments. Myan Management 'IS FULLY AWARE' that I was NEVER LATE on my rent. Myan Management allowed DRUG DEALERS and EX-CONS to inhabit the property and the leasing office and the management office WILLINGLY SOLICITED these people to be tenants because Myan Management was GREEDY.
Myan Management is not a good company. It's properties are SLUMS. These people disregarding the numerous complaints filed with their office but funny now when I put a complaint online they are quick to respond. They didn't feel that complaints about the lack of safety "BLACK, HISPANIC, and ELDERLY TENANTS" experienced while living at thier property was a concern.
Now Myan Management in one fell swoop tries to discredit what they know is a LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT by alleging I was evicted when they know that is not the truth. I was one of the FEW TENANTS they had who actually held a job and that was perfectly fine with Myan Management as they were so WILLING TO ACCEPT DRUG AND PROSTITUTION MONEY AT THEIR FACILITIES.
And people these people at Myan Management Group are EXPERT LIARS. Don't trust a word they say. They don't care about their tenants. They are very crooked and very greedy and very exploitative.
I have rented apartments since I was 18 years of age. I am a COLLEGE GRADUATE. I am a HOME OWNER (with my home being out of state).
I have NEVER IN MY LIFE SEEN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX ACT WITH SUCH HATRED, DISDAIN and DISREGARD TOWARDS THE WELFARE OF ITS TENANTS using EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLOIT THE MOST VULNERABLE AND ALREADY VERY MUCH EXPLOITED.
Myan Management also states in their response to my complaint that they hold various memberships with various organizations in Texas. THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. I called the Texas Apartment Association on SEVERAL OCCASSIONS and those people could have cared LESS about how we were being treated and all they said was to "Call a lawyer". Actually the Texas Apartment Association only serves the purpose of LOBBYING THE REPUBLICAN LEGISLATORS IN AUSTIN TO MAKE THE RENTAL LAWS IN TEXAS OVERWHELMINGLY FAVOR THE RICH, POWERFUL LANDLORDS AND TO STRIP ANY RIGHTS FROM TENANTS.
The Texas Apartment Association DOES NOT CARE IF TENANTS GET RIPPED OFF. They get paid Membership fees from SLUMLORDS like MYAN MANAGMENT GROUP (SLUMLORDS!) and THEY TAKE THE BIDDING OF THE APARTMENT COMPLEXES AND NOT THE TENANTS.
The other organizations do the same.
My message to Myan Management Group is this:
YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOUR TENANTS, OVERCHARGED US, RIPPED US OFF, FAILED TO MAINTAIN YOUR PROPERTY, PLACED YOUR TENANTS IN SAFETY HAZARDOUS UNITS, OVERLOOKED ALL OF OUR CONCERNS, TREATED US AS IF YOU DIDN'T CARE, DAMAGED THESE PEOPLE'S CREDIT WHO YOU THREW OUT IN THE STREET. MYAN MANAGEMENT SHOWS THE DANGERS OF GREED AND RUN AWAY CAPITALISM. THEY SUDDENLY THREW THE ELDERLY, THE SICK, THE SINGLE MOTHERS 'ALL" IN THE STREET WHEN THEY FOUND A SUCKER TO BUY THEIR PROPERTY. TENANTS HAD NO WARNING AT ALL. MYAN MANAGEMENT DID IT TO US AND THEY WILL DO IT TO YOU TOO
WHEN MYAN MANAGEMENT SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING THREW 90% OF ITS TENANTS OUT IN THE STREET IT ALSO SIMULTANEOUSLY AND WITH "INTENT TO DEFRAUD" (IT'S OWN TENANTS) BY LOADING THEM UP WITH FALSE CHARGES. THIS WAS DONE INTENTIONALLY AND WAS NOTHING MORE THAN AN ACT OF FRAUD BY SUPERFICIOUSLY INFLATING THEIR PROFITS.. OFF OF THE BACKS OF THE VERY WEAK. THE POOR. AND THE ELDERLY.
MYAN MANAGEMENT GROUP IS AS CORRUPT AS THEY COME.
MYAN MANAGEMENT GROUP IS THE WORST APARTMENT MANAGEMENT AGENCY IN TEXAS AND MOST LIKELY IN THE ENTIRE U.S. of A. THESE PEOPLE ARE "PREDITORS" WHO DO NOTHING BUT PREY ON THE WEAK AND VULNERABLE.
SPREAD THE WORD. THE WEAK HAVE A VOICE.

Myan Management Group is a member of the AAGD, AATC, Texas Apartment Association, and the National Apartment Association. It has been our experience that very often negative comments posted on this website are by residents who have been evicted for nonpayment of rent or other lease violations or who have never actually lived on a Myan managed property. Be cautious in assuming the truthfulness of postings by anonymous persons who refuse to disclose their identity. We recommend that visiting with current residents on-site is a more reliable method of obtaining third-party opinions about our company and Myan managed properties.
