Myrtle Beach Chevrolet will NEVER get my busines again. We purchased a 2002 Blue Silverado from them Dec 2003. We inquired if there had been any problems (wrecked, engine, etc) before. The sales guy said "No". We agreed to buy it and purchased an extended warranty, an extra 1800.00.

We had the truck about a month and the transmission went out. Chevrolet rebuilt it. We came across the previous owners address and phone number that was in the owners manual. THE TRUCK WAS WRECKED BEFORE. He bought it from Myrtle Beach Chevrolet. There is no doubt in my mind, that the sales people knew the trucks history.

During this time, my husband noticed the driver side floor was soaked all the time. The truck started to take on a mildew scent because of it. He took it to Chevrolet and they said that was not thier problem, and there wasn't anything they could do to fix it. He also complained that the dashboard was peeling. This is almost a brand new truck keep in mind.

A month or so later, the transmission went out again. This time, they expected us to pay the 100.00 deductable. We agreed. A few days later, we picked up the truck, and before we left my husband test drove it, it was still messed up. He took the keys back into the service dept. and told them it wasn't fixed still.
The guy said, "It isn't?", he then offered to write up another service order and said we would have to pay an additional 100.00 deductable. I got mad and said NO.

I called the GM hotline and complained, and they said that he had gotten the truck fixed the first time, and the second time it was fixed, I told her no, it was not fixed and they wanted us to pay an additional 100.00. She said there was nothing she could do, being that Myrtle Beach Chevrolet is independantly owned and operated.

I went to the dealership and asked to speak to the service manager, they knew we were upset and told us he had left for the day. We were about to leave when we heard his name over the service intercom, and then we seen Jimmy Truett the service manager, he looks like an oompaloompa, minus the green hair. He said that the truck was fixed and if we wanted to get it looked at again, 100.00.

My husband got really upset and started yelling at Jimmy Truett, he threated to call the police if we didn't leave. That may be our fault.

My husband asked for the owner of Myrtle Beach Chevrolet to give him a call. He did. He is an @sshole too. He told my husband that he hired Jimmy for a reason, and not to bother him anymore with such nonsense.

We traded the truck in at East Coast Volkswagen on a 2004 Jetta. We are much happier, except for all the negative equity we got stuck with.

Everytime I ride by Chevrolet, I wanna run in and slap Jimmy Truett and the lying sack of poop sales guy that sold it to us.

You got out of a Chevy and into a JETTA???? All I can say is good luck.
