I used for years that company because they have a private office and for custom purposes they issue one invoice as I did bought the items from them.

They charge about 100.00 for package and handling and for the invoice that comes for customs purposes.

Ususaly they cut by half the value of the real price in order to make the custumer "hapy"!!

In the end of May I was in Hong Kong and using my credit card to pay the hotel I got an embarassing situation because it was declined.

When I arrived to Portugal, after paying all expenses with a friend loan I saw that they had charged my credit card for 200.00 USD.I inquiry them about it and then started all this e -mails.

I feel that there is an abuse to use my credit card for paying invoices that wasn't sent to me and never got any receipt... for years. Even the taxes were never included.

Also a very strange situation - if you look at the mails, in June they revoque my membership but still carry on receiving items for me.

There is no signed contract about storage fees and there are e - mails they admit that they can not bill me if they got a shipment order. I was in Hong Kong and could not access the mail.

When returning and seing that imediatly i did the order for two times. In April I asked for a shipment.

However they replied (I was traveling and did not received the mail) that they canceled the shipment because there was an internal rule that shipments could only be done in the same week (I did not knew that and there is no contract saying it). Besides before I had done it and was accepted.

The present situation is very unconfortable because my credit card has a permanent payment order to them and they are allways trying to charge the card (nearly everyday) Their excuse is - the computer does that automaticly...

In internet I could see that there are many complains about this company because of doing the same kind of abuse but none of the complainers never took a case aginst them.

For me is not realy a question of money but of feeling abused.

Today I received this mail from them, full of lies - I never payed any storage fees:

Dear Art,
You may have an attorney contact me directly and I will give his information to our lawyers.
I am sorry it has come to this but if this is the course you want to take then so be it. We have tried to resolve your account problems for over 6 weeks with no resolution. You refuse to pay your bills and
continue to threaten lawsuits. Well, that is fine, please file your lawsuit.

If payment is not received by July 17, 2007 then we will consider your account in Lawsuit. We will no longer reply to your emails, your packages will be put on a pallet and put in storage, you will continue
to be billed for all normal expenses including storage fees, late fees, membership fees, etc. I think in the end you know you will have to pay all the expenses. Please ask your lawyer before you make this worse.

Here are some facts.
1. We are not a storage facility.
2. We have told you about our storage fees since 2004 (you were first
charged for storage on Nov 29, 2004.
3. Late fees have been charged since 2005.
4. You have not paid your bills with us for over 6 weeks (although you
continue to receive packages here).
5. Your credit card has declined over 30 times and we will NOT try to
charge it again.
6. Payment will only be accepted by Wire Transfer until all of your
bills are paid in full.
7. We will not accept any more packages for you.

Access USA (MYUS) They are a great company

I came across this site (rippoffreport) in a google search by accident, which must generate alot of hits and advertising it seems..

I've gone through the hassle of registering to place this positive comment as a long standing access USA customer. They have completed hundreds of transaction on my behalf, without problem and even shipped a car engine thousands of kilometres!

When things do do wrong, as per the nature of internet shopping, they do their best to sort it. They have a great service to bridge an important gap in the internet - honest customers that need things from the US, without a US credit card and US physical residence.

Also:
"They charge about 100.00 for package and handling and for the invoice that comes for customs purposes."

>> They actually give you the best worldwide rate on DHL or Fedex, as per the weight on their calculator. There is a small admin charge per shipment for the repackaging, processing and invoide generation, but how else do you get your parcel on the DHL plane! It should also be noted that the shipping service they use means it ends up at your residence/office, rather than at a post office for pickup like some cheaper shipments.

They have had my cc details for years and I've never had a problem - and I've left things in my mailbox for ...ages... and never been charged for storage. Use these guys with complete confidence...!

I have had a good experience with Access USA actually

I am not an employee nor have I ever met anyone from Access USA, however I have conversed with Access USA employees online and so far my experience is all good. I actually live in Australia.

After I applied for an account and provided personal details, I happened to stumble across this site whilst I was searching for the internet page of Access USA.

I had already applied for it by then and seeing this feedback made me feel scared. I emailed Access USA and told them I was concerned and they cancelled my application - that they had already gone to the trouble to process and had already assigned a mailbox to me!! They also did not charge me in anyway.

The kept in touch and were polite and immediately did as I requested. No questions asked. I found them accessible and reasonable.

I am considering reapplying after that kind of service.

I am realy sorry for the report not beeing complete with the full name of the company. That was based on a temporary employee information and the facts does not aply to a company called Access USA.

The company name that use myus is not the one that comes on internet Access USA.

I request that my complain is withdraw because makes confusion with others companies like Access USA.

So please quote that Access USA has nothing to do with my report. With this dubious name I believe that the best situation is to delete the report until I have a better identified defendent.

Access USA has a good reputation and so far I know these reported facts are completly out of screen of such company.
