We purchased a $1500 Desiderio Vapor Clean from myvaporclean.com / Puregreen International with a lifetime guarantee on the stainless steel boiler. The boiler was defective and stopped working, making the unit completely useless. We have been trying to get resolution with the company since July 2009. It is now March 2010 and they are still refusing to send a replacement boiler.  This is the worse type of company to deal with:  One that only exists for sales, with no real customer service, and certainly doesn't honor its legal agreements and guarantees it made to paying customers.

You do NOT honor all your products, warrantees, or guarantees

Since you pasted a part of our response, our FULL response was:

"We sent photos of the boiler defect last year -- is it important for you to see them again?-- and the delay in getting our unit shipped was on this end -- our contract for producing and directing a weekly TV show kept us from having enough spare time to handle minor things such as an appliance repair, especially when communications between us and your company proved to be sporadic at best."

And what we MEANT by the above, since being subtle didn't help you,  is that you took HOURS of our valuable time, over a period of days and weeks, on the phone, in emails, yet didn't solve ONE THING, nor did you want ANTHING from us except our credit card number for an indeterminate amount of servicing fees!

I would NEVER have purchased such an expensive appliance if I had known you would NOT replace the parts your GUARANTEED FOR LIFE.

Your product, your company, and your lack of service makes what you do A COMPLETE SCAM and we will warn every potential customer about your sales-only, money-only business model.

#1 UPDATE Employee

We always honor our warranty.

AUTHOR: VaporClean - (United States of America)

Our warranty is simple.  We cover all costs of repair on any manufacturer's defect for 1 year, with proof of purchase.  We cover the boiler and heating element for life against any defect.  All repairs are performed on site at our repair center by the trained technician.  We communicated with the customer originally in July 2009.  She never provided proof of purchase, yet we were going to replace the boiler as per our policies if she sent in the machine.  Customer was supposed to ship machine to us then, but never did.
We were then contacted in February 2010, 7 months later, and told

"the delay in getting our unit shipped was on this end -- our contract for producing and directing a weekly TV show kept us from having enough spare time to handle minor things such as an appliance repair"

Understandable.  Ship the machine to us and we'll fix it.  After being told the warranty on the boiler only covered the part, not the labor and shipping, because her machine was older than one year, she would only settle for us sending the boiler to her.  We don't send internal components such as a boiler to customers due to liability concerns...regardless of your engineering skills...

"It was disassembled and reassembled by my husband, an engineer, this machine being remedial sandpile 101 for him."

The funny part is, she still never provided proof of purchase!
