They promised a Master Card with a $2500.00 credit limit and a Visa Card with a $500.00 credit limit. We sent them a voided check for $200.00.
About 6 weeks latter we received their package. It contain 2 overpriced catalogs and a Preffered Merchant credit card good only for these catalogs. A long ways from a Master Card.
After spending $200.00 for all of this, if we place an order it requires at least 35% down with outrageous shipping charges.
We called them to try to cancel, but they were very rude and in no way helpful. The bottom line was we were screwed.
That was in the first part of Nov. 2002. On Dec. 15, 2002 we received a statement form them stating that on 01-03-2003 our checking account would have an additional $33.00 deducted from for "inactivity access fee".
I am not sure what to do now, as my pension check and Social Secutity check are direct deposit and there is not enough time to have them changed by then
