I RETURNED THE FIRST BILL MARKED CANCEL DUE TO THAT REASON.

SAME FOR SECOND BILL.

THIRD BILL WAS A THREAT TO TURN ME OVER FOR COLLECTION.
I SENT THEM A LETTER TELLING THEM TO CANCEL AND TO NOT BOTHER ME AGAIN OR I WOULD FILE WITH AZ AND MN ATTORNEY GENERALS FOR FRAUDULENT BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICES.
I WILL BE DOING THAT TOMORROW AS THEY HAVE TURNED ME OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY.

I CALLED BOTH THE COLLECTION AGENCY AND National Street Machine Club AND TOLD THEM TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR RECORDS AND TO SEND ME A LETTER STATING THAT IT WAS DONE IN ERROR.

The company namg or, north american members group isnt a scam, if you know how to return info and follow what it says in the paperwork its not a scam!! If a person knows how to read and follow directions, can do everything right to get what is supposed to be sent to the member or person. A person becomes a member by many ways, usually by a postcard with free gifts, or "free" membership. in the paperwork that is sent it clearly states that the membership is free for 30 days, then after that get billed for 1 yr at 12.00, the invoices that get sent say 24 months for 24.00 or 36 months or 36.00, and of course 12 months for 12.00, if a person dont read all the way through, will consider not wanting because of a misconseption, which isnt the case.

Same with canceling the membership, if a person writes cancel on paperwork, and isnt visible, wont get cancelled, a computer reads the paper, a scanner if you will, and if it dont pick up, the dont get cancelled. If a person was to call, will get cancelled, and delt with!! But nothing will ever happen if a person dont read the info given, why people assume is crazy. If you ever wanted to cancel, then its easy as possible if given the correct info.

If people want something to complain about look at some of the things other companies do, its far worse then anything this company has ever done!! If people want to be a true member, they just have to read all info about the club. i know people that are members, such as ive spoken to members over 30 yrs that have so happy with their stuff, free product testing, free gifts and their mags.

The bottom line is, if people learn how to read or contact us about free information they would'nt have rude or bad things to say!!!

First off yes i am an employee for NAMG. for those not in the know yes, it is a hard sell scam. well its legit legally but to me its still scam like. read everything u do on the internet or sign up for VERY CAREFULLY. I hate recieving calls all day from the uneducated who have no idea what their in for yet throw money to this company for no reason. ABout the invoices. membership is 12$ for one yr but they leave that off the invoices so they can try to get 24 from you. the system we use for customer service is very outdated and inaccurate and slow.

please also note that the collection agency cannot affect your credit because NAMG doesnt utilize social security numbers. you have no idea how many calls i get from uneducated people who think their credit is gonna be ruined and so on. PLZ KNOW THE LAWS educate yourselfs before calling and yelling at me as if im the one personally who got you involved in this. when i first started working for them as Customer service rep i had no idea how shady it really was. yes i hate it too and im looking for a new job as we speak, or type rather. Also we lie about alot of things like our location and our last names.

to figure out where your really calling into, listen to the CSR's last name. the first letter of our last name represents what city the call center is located in. for example if you call my center all of our fake last names begin with a J for the town i live in. the systems we use are very arcaic and the remote connection we have with NAMG's main office is very poor so we go down alot. what im really doing most of the time when people call in and im telling them im taking care of an issue is just doodling or stabbing the side of my cubicle with a thumbtack out of frustration.

My advice as an employee is to please call in and cancel. CANCELING BY MAIL IS USELESS as there are many employees at the main center in MN that simply throw these out as they come in because they dont feel like processing it all. Most of the time we also have no idea why so many products never get shipped or why free gifts go missing. I REPEAT WE HAVE NO IDEA WHY THAT HAPPENS. they dont tell us so we just sound dumb on the phone tryin to come up with a way to explain that your order was prbly lost in the warehouse somewhere due to lazy employees. note that we as CSRs only have limited info and power to help members out and that alot of the blame should go on the main center in minnetonka, MN. I have no clue how this company has survived since 1978 but some other good info is that the company is owned by a british woman but it is ironically named north american membership group.

also bill maher and his brother are dead, they dont exist, neither does K Pope, and even if they did exist they re not gonna take any calls so dont ask to speak to them. the reason why this is legal is because its all in the fine print. i highly suggest if u recieve something from NAMG, READ IT THOROUGHLY over and over until you clearly understand the information presented to you. if not you will get duped or sound stupid on the phone for not understanding how it works. and yes we do make fun of the members that lack intelligence on our breaks.

Al of the products are outsourced and produced overseas for very cheap prices and oversold to unbeknownst to members who think theyre getting a deal. the books however are made at the main center in MN and produced for only $2.00 a book then sold for as much as $30. all other products made in china. Hope this info helps anyone looking to teach this shady business a lesson.
sincerely, a very fed up employee
