We spent over 10K in work with these guys for the 5 year product. 5 year product was advertised to do the same thing as the 7 year product but ended up in a bait and switch situation. It does not work at all. Currently in a dispute with them over a refund. The 7 year product is the "miracle" worker, not the 5 year. After requesting a refund for being unhappy with the product and service, Alex gives bad customer service and tells us to basically fight for our money with the credit card company. So that is what I am doing.

His solution to my problem was to remove the coating from my cars (at his expense) and then we pay for the upgrade to the 7 year product to get the experience we were supposed to get from the 5 year coating. HUH?! So I pay you more money to correct something that is not my fault? Unheard of.

In emails he states "I have been testing multiple products to improve your current coating. I have conferred with our scientist and we do not have a simple add on to improve your coating. The resolution would be to remove your current coating and apply the coating system that you appreciate more...The retail value of this service would be over 2k....I feel it is appropriate that you cover the difference in cost between the A5 and A7 coating systems. I don't feel me providing a much better system for free is appropriate". 12/27/2016

We don't want a test product and I can't get this stuff of the car without spending more money to do the paint corrections and detail work. We don't want the 7 year coating as I am pissed at his attitude and communication with us. Who pays for an upgrade to get the same product that was advertised and purchased? A fool, that's who.

Not getting this coating for any other of my cars and not recommending it for anyone. The owners have horrible customer service skills and apparently bad sales skills. We'll use other coatings for our exotics from now on.

Dear Henry,

I will start this rebuttal with the part of your statement that is completely false.

  • We spent over 10K in work with these guys for the 5 year product:  We have the receipts for the two vehicles in question. Your range rover we charged you $689.00. Your BMW i8 we charged you $550. You have used our products on numerous vehicles over the years. First through one of our certified installers, then 3 vehicles with us directly. In total between all your vehicles you may or may not have spent 10k in total. I do not have the records of the installer to verify. However, your statement that you spent over 10k for the 5 yr product is false. The dispute with Paypal is for different amounts because you reported the 7 yr coating on your Ferrari that you have been completely satisfied with. The disputed amounts  totaled less than $1600.

As in any dispute there are always misunderstandings and room for interpretation. One area of your complaint that is a misunderstanding is the idea that we were testing a product on your vehicle. As part of multiple emails I explained to you that the A5 product is the original product that we started this business with. It is a product that has been on the marker for years and we have coated many vehicles personally, and through our installer network. When you communicated your dissatisfaction with the product I contacted our scientist and explained the situation. I tasked him with creating a totally new prodcut from scratch to rectify the situation. The quote of the email you utilized was after a month of creating and testing new products to improve the situation. I did value you as a customer and put a team of people to work to rectify the scenario. After multiple products and testing I decided that the task was too great and the best resolution was for you to receive the paint protection you had already experienced and were happy with. The only cost I suggested was orginal retail cost of the product you were already satisfied with. I would incurr all other charges for labor and product. I only suggested you pay for what you receive. If you had asked me for the product you were happy with I would have charged you almost twice what the 5 year coating is. You expressed to me that you did not want to pay that much and would take the 5 year. There are certain aspects of the products that are the same; they are both hard, glossy, and easy to clean. The website and all marketing material are consistent with that messaging. I also explained that the difference is way more than just the two year protection. Our 7 year coating is also self healing. Light scratches repair themselves under the heat of the sun. That does not occur with the 5 year coating. I never stated that they do. I stand by my statement that I feel you paying for what you receive is fair for both of us. I believe that to this day. If I went to a car dealer and bought a 6 cylinder Mustang. Then complained to dealership that I did not like the car and wanted the v8 model for free, would that be appropriate? It is exactly what you were asking me to do. As you stated you are not a fool. I find you to be an intelligent person. If someone offered you two products and said they are exactly the same except one is half the price I believe you would have been skeptical from the beginning.

You have proven by your own words that the coating is working. You stated " I can't get this stuff off the car without spending more money to do the paint corrections and detail work" This demonstrates that there is a hard protection on the vehicle. The only way to remove it is to use a buffer, compounds with abrasive, heat, and friction to remove it. Basically sand it off. Waxes and sealants will remove with a microfiber and a little common rubbing alcohol. The product is working as advertised, which is why we won the dispute with paypal and was not required to give you a refund.

It is ironic, when we were in the middle of this dispute I told my partner " he is trying the old bait and switch. He wants the 7 year self healing coating but only wants to pay for the 5." The irony is I find this complaint on the internet and it said bait and switch. The universe works in mysterious ways. I now believe this is a simple misunderstanding. I have a hard time believing  that you would go through all this trouble just to get a different coating. My belief in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt is that this is a misunderstanding.

Best regards,

Alex
