NATIONAL ACTION FININANCIAL has the rudest and MOST uneducated employees working there. I have been receiving calls for 2 months. I have called back their number only to be treated nastily and with attitude and told that I AM THE ONE WITH THE ATTITUDE. Well, YES, perhaps I DID have a bit of an attitude since I KNOW I DO NOT OWE ANY CREDITORS (Shiny 730 Credit Score) and have NEVER defaulted on ANY PAYMENT.
Last month when I called I was told the debt they were trying to claim was from a Talik Stewart (or Stuart). I told these jerks OVER A MONTH AGO NO Talik Stewart Lives here. They are simply going by a phone number AND NOTHING ELSE.
They TOLD me that they would REMOVE THE # from their lists.

TODAY, 11/27/07, I receive a message from a different phone number than the one that previously called and , BY LAW they MUST send NOTICE of ANY of their claims, BY MAIL, within 30 days of calling. I have NOT received any letters here at my residence.
I called today and an Mr. Martinez answered, I said (verbatim since I RECORDED EVERY CONVERSATION) "This is the second time that I am calling you guys to tell you to stop calling my house, that you have the wrong people and YET, you're still calling me house."
HIS RESPONSE: " Well, I'm not YOU PEOPLE for ONE"
MY RESPONSE: " Yes YOU are, you work for this company"
HIS REPONSE: " NO I'M NOT YOU PEOPLE MA'AM & I'LL be happy to help you if you calm down a minute I can take care of it"
MY RESPONSE: "This is the second time I have HAD to take care of this. I gave my phone number last time and TOLD them the person you're looking for doesn't live here and they told me it would be taken out of your computers"

(NOW MIND YOU, I AM NOT YELLING, I AM SPEAKING)

HIS RESPONSE: MA'AM ARE YOU GOING TO CONTINUE TO YELL, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS. I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU OUT, I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU OUT (Yes, he said it twice like I'm deaf or hard of hearing)

MY RESPONSE: " YES I'M SURE YOU WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP ME WHEN I FILE A SUIT AGST YOU FOR CONSTANTLY CALLING MY HOUSE AND HARASSING ME"

HIS RESPONSE" RRRIGHT... ARE YOU DONE, ARE YOU DONE (I am not talking now so I'm beginning to think this moron has a stuttering problem or maybe a tic that makes him say things 2 times, LOL)

MY RESPONSE: Are YOU done?

HIS RESPONSE: "YES, HAVE A NICE DAY' AND THEN HE HANGS UP
(Which seems to be NATIONAL ACTION FINANCIAL'S WAY OF "HANDLING" people.

I CALL BACK AND GET THE SAME MORON Mr. Martinez

MY RESPONSE: I WANT YOU TO STOP CALLING MY HOUSE

HIS RESPONSE: WHEN YOU TALK TO ME THE WAY YOU TALKED TO ME MA'AM I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU WANT ME TO GO WITH THIS IF YOU'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TALK TO ME THIS WAY. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF FIGURING OUT WHAT HAPPENED
(Does ANYTHING I said above constitute being RUDE or nasty? NO, THEY have been calling MY house HARASSING ME)

MY RESPONSE: OK, FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED

AND THEN THE STUPID MORON HANGS UP AGAIN SO AM I MAD NOW, HELL YEAH I AM!

I CALL BACK and get MATT on the phone this time

MATT is NOT too bad but still a jerk nonetheless

MY RESPONSE: I would like this company to STOP calling my house. I would like to KNOW HOW to get them to STOP calling my house


MATT'S RESPONSE: OK, LET ME FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY ARE CALLING, WHAT WAS THE NUMBER THEY CALLED? THE NUMBER THAT YOU ARE CALLING FROM NOW THE 24^-&*()

MY RESPONSE: YES, THAT'S THE ONE. I HAVE CALLED ALREADY AND INFORMED THEM THAT THE PERSON YOU'RE LOOKING FOR DOESN'T LIVE HERE AND NEVER HAS. I WAS TOLD THAT MY NUMBER WAS TAKEN OUT OF YOUR RECORDS ONLY TO BE CALLED AGAIN TODAY AND YET, I KEEP GETTING PHONECALLS FROM YOU FOR ANOTHER DEBTOR THAT YOU KNOW DOESN'T LIVE HERE. TALIK STEWART DOESN'T LIVE HERE.

THIS CONVERSATION IS BEING RECORDED AND IF I RECEIVE ANY MORE CALLS FROM YOU I AM GOING TO SUE YOU.

Do you know as soon as I hung up the phone THESE SOB's CALLED BACK!!!

716-650-6240 This stupid bi*&^ was a real person! I told her off and told her to NEVER call me again and SHE called me right back. I HAVE THIS RECORDED TOO! I had s few choice words for her when she called back.

Needless to say... I called back to get a supervisor who, as I was talking, was holding down the buttons on the phone so she couldn't hear me (YES, THAT WAS RECORDED TOO).

I called back, got another moron, and asked EVER SO SWEETLY for the physical address of the company. She told me she had to look for it (OMG THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY WORK EITHER?? THEY MUST BE MORONS)

She came back and asked me WHY I needed it. I told her that I should be able to have the address of the company that continues to call my house without reason. SHE HUNG UP ON ME.

SOOOO.. they screwed with the wrong person! I am filing a lawsuit bringing along all of the phone records with 30+ calls since September 2007 and the phone recordings TOMORROW. I am tired of these IDIOT companies thinking they can HARASS GOOD PEOPLE.

The recordings will continue so now I DO hope they continue calling because each time they do, they are breaking the law.

Thanks Don! When I called the first time, it was after about 15 calls had come to my house. I thought it was a scam since they do not ever say the name of the person that they're looking for. They leave recorded messages, each getting nastier and nastier and some actually threatening the people.

So I called they told ME what MY number was (which ticked me off since my number is supposed to be private/blocked). They told me Talik Stewart was associated with the phone number and they told me they would take my number out when I told them that they were very wrong and that I've had my number for 2 years. At no time did they say.. I'm showing numerous accts for this person, ALL having your number. And if I called and, indeed the number was removed, wouldn't there be SOME notation NOT to call the number anymore. These are additional questions that I asked them after being hung up on numerous times. I DID get a sweet, kid (18 years old) who could teach the other employees HOW to interact with people. He told me that there are a few debts to Talik Stewart so You may very well be right about the calls being for different debts.

I think human nature kicks in, regardless of how nice of a person anyone is normally, when THEY are left messages, sometimes more than once every day, and then are met with cynical, unprofessional people on the other line.

I worked for a Bankruptcy atty while I was in college and I never heard of these unethical credit agencies. I understand that they need to get their money and that they work on percentage of the debt collected BUT, why do they think continuing to call is going to change the fact that this person has never lived and here, we don't know them and that they are continuing to harass the wrong person.

The jerk that posted 2 rebuttals above seems JUST like the people that works for National Action Financial Services. I have spoken to family, friends and employees and played them the tape and not ONE thought that I was being mean, that I was "yelling" or that I was treating them in any "combative" way. They didn't understand HOW this place could call my home numerous times, looking for the wrong person and then hang up on me when I am simply asking WHY they are calling MY HOME.

The calls have ceased since a few days ago. Perhaps they got the message when I played back the "supervisor" cursing at me with no instigation from me.

First, I am a collector. It does sound like they gave you some attitude, and they definately gave it back as well. There is no law against you giving them attitude.

However to touch on one thing you posted, you said that the 2nd rep said "HOLD ON, I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT FILE THIS IS FROM AND THEN I CAN TAKE THE NUMBER OFF." Just wondering if they were calling on a differnt account than they had 2 months before. If this Taliq person had more than one account, they would not see the notes from the previous conversation.

FYI Billco: In the computer WORLD, it is YELLING to type in caps. Furthermore, These "People" are ALL rude! Do you think EVERY single person that posted on here about the SAME company, National Action Financial, because they are ALL liars? Do you think that ALL of these people were rude? There comes a point when ALL of these people who have been harassed CANNOT BE WRONG. That's a fact and simple logic. There is NOT ONE positive thing about National Action Financial. Perhaps YOU work for an ETHICAL collections company BUT National Action Financial IS NOT an ETHICAL company. They have lost lawsuits because their unethical business practices and their THREATS AND ABUSE which is AGAINST the law according to The Fair Debt Collection Practices.

I'd LOVE to see how one of the morons that work for this company, would act if the shoe was on the other foot.

I'm a business owner and have an MBA. I am very familiar with the phrase "you get more flies with honey" BUT MYSELF AND OTHERS DO NOT OWE ANYTHING TO THESE OAFS!

Let's see how many calls I get now that a cease and desist has been sent AND also have recordings of their abusive behavior (sent to NY Atty General).

I DO hope they call again after they receive the certified letter (return receipt requested)! $1000 a call (what they will owe me each time they call) would be great for Christmas gifts!

Perhaps you failed to read the oart where I called 2 MONTHS ago and VERY politely asked what the call was in reference to, they told me who it was for, I told them there was no such person and I was told my number WOULD BE TAKEN OFF.
Type "National Action Financial Services" into Google and you will see that there isn't even a website for this "company" but YOU WILL see nothing but compaints from people who are harassed numerous times DAILY AFTER they tell them that they have the wrong number. Not ONE post about this unprofessional company, says that they were NICE, POLITE, CORDIAL, UNDERSTANDING, HELPFUL... You won't find anything positve anywhere about this company. It's obvious to me now that these companies EXCLUSIVELY HIRE MORONS. I'm guessing you need nothing more than a GED from my conversation with Joe (18 years old) and the fact that NO ONE can seem to delete a number out of a computer. If this company is representative of collection companies than boy I sure am glad I've always paid my bills. And if you work for a place like this, it says a lot about you.

YOU SAY YOU WERENT YELLING BUT THE DICTATION YOU GIVE, I CAN PICTURE PICKING UP THE PHONE & GETTING BOMBARDED BY THE LIKES OF YOU!i HAVE WORKED WITH HUNDREDS OF COLLECTORS & I HAVE NEVER MET ONE THAT WANTS TO CALL A WRONG NUMBER OVER & OVER AGAIN UNLESS THEY KNOW THERE IS GOING TO BE SOME MEAN NASTY PERSON ON THE OTHER END. IN MY EXPERIENCE, IF SOMEONE POLITELY SAYS ITS A WRONG NUMBER & DOESNT KNOW THE DEBTOR WE MOVE ON & MARK IT A WRONG NUMBER. TRY ANSWERING THE PHONE LIKE A HUMAN BEING INSTEAD OF BITING THEIR HEADS OFF!THINK OF THIS, IF YOU CALLED A WRONG NUMBER LOOKING FOR SOMEONE & THE PERSON THAT ANSWERED SCREAMED AT YOU LIKE YOU WERE TRASH, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT?WE CAN TELL BY YOUR POST & YOUR RECORDINGS, THAT YOU ARE A BITTER PERSON. THE GUY TRIED SEVERAL TIMES, AS I WOULD HAVE TO CALM YOU DOWN & TRY TO FIND OUT WHY THEY HAD YOUR NUMBER ON THE ACCOUNT. WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE OTHER POINT. YOU TOLD HIM TO STOP CALLING BUT TOLD HIM THEY HAVE THE NUMBER INSTEAD OF TELLING HIM THE NUMBER. I GET THIS ONE ALL THE TIME. PEOPLE CALL IN & SAY SOMETHING LIKE "QUIT CALLING MY HOUSE" YOU ASK FOR THE NUMBER & YOU GET "YOU HAVE IT, YOU KEEP CALLING" THEY WILL GO THROUGH THAT KIND OF THING TILL WE HANG UP ON THEM OR MY FAVORITE, I PICK UP TO "QUIT CALLING MY NUMBER, IF YOU CALL AGAIN, IM GOING TO SUE YOU" & THEY HANG UP! SO IM SUPPOSSED TO GUESS WHAT THE NUMBER IS.
