*General Comment: Dropped Classes
They didnt give me my 2 weeks grace period to be logged in to my student portal. They dropped my classes on a tip from an unauthorized person to drop my courses. They didnt want meto get the monmoney ffrom school. I was back in time to catch up and i dint get the grace period afforded me. It sucks that because they jumped the gun and never sent me a letter or a phone calls to confirm or deny anything. Its sad how people can just do what they want. Now i dont get my pell money and i cant start til spring. I dont even want to go to nau anymore cause what would be next. Im trying to pursue legal action. I need help

Dropped Classes

Actually, they do not need your approval to drop you from classes. In fact, the Department of Education REQUIRES them to drop you under certain conditions.
If you are not making satisfactory academic progress.
If you miss more that 1/3 of your classes.
There are numerous reasons.
Also, the school can drop you for several reasons at their own discretion:
Being disruptive
Fraud on your part
slandering the school
A whole host of reasons.
First and foremost, when the school drops you voluntarily, and without cause, you should not be charged for tuition for the dropped class UNLESS you were dropped for failure to attend. However, being disruptive, etc. is not one of those cases.
Under federal guidelines, if you are dropped for non-attendance, you CAN be charged tution for all classes you attended PLUS an additional 3 classes if you failed to withdraw from classes valuntarily.
