National Check Fraud Center Bill Jones Using a real company name scam houston, Texas

I received a phone call from 1-281-760-3957-ext 307 In reference to my ex husband. The man on the phone said his name was Bill Jones and was looking for my ex to serve a warrant and asked if i knew where he was. When I asked what it was about he said he couldn't discuss it but asked if i would take his number and give it to anyone that may know him. He asked if we had kids or knew of a phone # where he could be reached. (Phishing)

I replied that i hadn't seen my ex husband in approx 2 years and had no idea. Then the man said he was calling from National Check Fraud Center. (Couldn't discuss it...Clue 1) I looked up the real National Check Fraud Center website kinda suspicious and notice the number didn't match. (Clue 2

I reported the scam to the real company as there name is being used to collect personal information. If someone calls you dont give them any information or you may be the next victim. This has happen to another person I know in Tennessee. Threating to arrest if payment wasn't given. It is very popular and they try to scare you and hope you act on instinct and give your debit or credit card # to stay out of trouble.
