I went to go buy a new car in July 2010, before I went to the dealership I checked my credit report, I found National Credit Solutions on there saying Past due account $106.27. This is a fraudulent mark on my credit report. I have not and never will buy anything from a music place online. This showed up in 2010, I called NCS and of course had a very rude lady who answered. I basically called them to find out what BMG was. I also asked why was this in my maiden name, she talked over me and proceeded to tell me my parents address. She told me that my mail has been going to this address from 1994 to 2005, which is incorrect. My parents moved to Virginia Beach in 1995. I was in the Air Force from 1994 to 2002. All my mail was coming to me at my base. Then I started to ask her what BMG was, she said "thank you, have a nice day" and hung up. I then called back immediately, I got another lady. She started off being really nice. She said there was no way they were going to take this off my credit report until I pay. I told her that I went to the police and filed an Identity theft report, because a few years back I found USA Credit on my credit report and they had been siphoning $9.00 a week out of my millitary disability pay, that was in my checking account. She told me that the police report for Identity theft had to have been for the time frame of non-payment. I asked her what the time frame was and she told me, I told her that the police report covered 2001-2008. She then said she was not allowed to talk to me but I could mail or fax all my documentation to NCS. I told her that she wasn't going to get anything from me but I would make sure my Lawyer took care of it. She then just hung up. I don't know anything about this BMG garbage but I've filed complaints with (Rip-Off report / BBB / FTC / Attorney Generals Office of Virginia / Attorney Generals Office of Oklahoma). You know, the VA looses a laptop with disabled vets info and next thing you know, everyone has their hand in your pocket trying to get something for nothing. I'm not paying for something that I know nothing about and didn't receive anyway. Not everyone has money to throw at these companies to make them go away.

It was absolutely AMAZING to find a letter in my mailbox from NCS on Saturday, a full 7 months after they put the bogus debt on my credit report. I get a letter advising me of the debt only AFTER I filed complaints with the AG and FTC. This morning, I put a lovely letter in the mail to them AND faxed the same letter.

Can u please tell me wha u did with the company i have not contacted them yet just found ut friday and is a holiday weekend i did file a dispute on line with experan , this is the weird thing i found it on my own by looking at my credit , i also found it on my tu report 3 months ago disputed it with thm and they took it off , how do i put a block on this please help , i have never had an account ith these people i have ever recieved anything in the mail

You can dispute with them all you want, as I did because NCS also put a bogus collection on my report. in TWO days Experian came back and said they verified the debt, but would not tell me how they did this (NOT possible to verify a debt that doesn't exist). I filed complaints with my state attorney general, the FTC and just for good measure, even though I know it's a joke as well, the BBB in Oklahoma City. I wish you luck with getting this resolved--their bogus reporting knocked my credit score down by 50 points for a $36 debt. No, I will not pay it. I don't owe it.

What ever you do when speaking with this company ALWAYS deny that you owe these charges. Put in writing and send it certified returned receipt to this company that you do not own this company any money. Dispute the charges with your credit report agency. Send an email and/or letter to the better business bureau in Oklahoma advising that this company has fradulently placed this debt on your credit report and you want it removed immediately. You can also send a letter the attorney general 's office in your state and cc it to the Attorney General's in Oklahoma (there may be forms online that you may need to fill out). Hopefully this will help you, I know it is alot of work but sometimes you have to do alot of work due to the injustices of a unscrupulous collection agency like this one. Also, if you do some research online you will find out that BMG went out of business in 2005. So I truly believe that NCS has gone dumpster diving to get our information. They also put this crap on my credit report and I immediately disputed it with the credit reporting agency, I also sent 2 letters to this company stating that this was not my debt and that I did NOT owe BMG any outstanding monies. I also contacted National Credit Solutions and yes they are rude and very nasty. They basically told me that if I wanted it removed from my credit report that I should pay them. The information that they sent to me did not prove that I owed them a debt. They placed this item on my credit report originally without any notice and this is how I found out about this bogus debt. Find out what the statute of limitations are for your state if you are unable to find out the information online contact your states Attorney Generals office they will be able to tell you how many years a company can come after you for a deliquent debt and they will better be able to explain to you what statute of limitations are. Good luck with this dilemma as it can be a nightmare, just be diligent. I just recently checked my credit report and this bogus debt has been removed.
