 I contacted National Express Logistics on 4/22/2013 via the internet to get a quote on moving furniture from Benton KY to Southaven MS.  After giving a complete inventory of furniture to an employee named Lisa I was quoted a price $1476.00.  I called back and added additional items and was quoted an additional $650.00 of which I agreed to. 

 I advised Lisa that I needed my furniture picked up on Thursday May 30th as I was closing on my house on Friday May 31st at 11:00 am.  I was advised that would not be a problem.  

 I called Lisa on Wednesday May 29th to make sure I was set up for them to pick up my furniture the next day and she advised me yes I was and I would be contacted by a dispatcher. 

 Moving company did not show up Thursday morning so I called Lisa and she gave me the phone number for dispatch.  I called dispatch and they were incredibly rude.  Advised me they would do the best they could to pick up my furniture as promised and would have the driver call me.

 The driver named Mike called me mid afternoon on Thursday the 30th and advised he was tied up in Nashville on a job that was taking a lot longer than what the company had told him it would.  He was going to try to still come pick up my furniture by that evening. I called Lisa and advised I had an issue with this and she advised they would give me a $50.00 discount. 

 He sent me a text message at 11:00 pm on Thursday May 30th and said he would be at my house to pick up the furniture by 7 a.m. on Friday the 31st.  He stated that is the best he could do.

 Friday morning he did not show up until after 9 a.m. and had attitude.  He advised me I owed him 50% of the total cost of moving and it needed to be a cashiers check or cash.  I went to the bank and got a cashiers check made out to National Express Inc.  The driver informed me that was not the correct company name and check could not be cashed.  I was using the name given to me on the paper work he had.  Went to the bank got cash and paid him in cash.  He advised me I would have to pay cash when furniture was delivered - so another trip to the bank while trying to close on a house and at the same time deal with furniture being moved on top of the moving van trying to move the new owner in - sitting out in the street waiting for my movers to get out of the way - it was a nightmare.

 I closed on my new house in Mississippi at 9:00 a.m. on June 1st.  Mike the driver called me at 11:00 a.m. and said they were ready to deliver my furniture.  He was rude and very unprofessional.  Advised him I had just gotten keys to the house and he said they had a schedule to keep.

 I seriously feel like the delay of picking up my furniture was done on purpose to cause confusion, put me in a bind and allow him to charge me $2279.38 and not the $2126.00 I was quoted.  I had not choice but to pay the amount he quoted me.  I sent them an email a week ago and advised the driver had over charged me by $99.00 - have not heard back from them.  I used a credit card for the initial $99.00 deposit and the balance was paid in cash.
