This is a really unpleasant experience! I am the new register of the national geographic magazine in 2000. They had charged me US $ 45 for the subscription on December 17 1999. Initially the publisher had sent me the January and the February issues on the midpoint of February, but the March and the April issues had not still been delivered to me in the following months.
I had informed the National Geographic Society of this problem by e-mail on March 21 2000 but they just said that the delivery might take 4-6 weeks after publication from USA to Taiwan. However, I could get the latest March issue and the April issue separately on the March 10 and April 10 at the library of my medical college (National Cheng Kong University) and the bookstores on the market in Taiwan. Therefore, the delivery time should not take so long a time as they had described before! Just because I am in Taiwan does not mean the delaying is reasonable!
If the register account could not get the magazines in time and just receive the out of date magazines, why should I subscribe this magazine! The out of date magazines could be gotten by lower price on the market just like the 2nd hand magazines! Let alone the out of date magazines, I did not even see the shadow of the magazines I subscribed! In the following days I sent my questioning letters (e-mail) to their company on April 7 2000 and April 11 2000 but no further answer letters were sent to me!
They did not put my problem in mind let alone answer my letter! That let me feel very unfriendly and unrespectable! That's their so-called customers' service!-just let the customers get angry and unsatisfied! In short wards, they took my money and did not send me the goods that I should deserve.
That is easy to understand! They were against the contract and should pay for it!
