I recently purchased an offer for grafts through Groupon. As per the requirements I met with a representative (Dave) from National Hair Centers.
During this meeting I was treated with disrespect in a very condescending manner. Which was surprising since Dave surely could have used the services of National Hair Centers for his "challenged hairdo".
Following a time period consisting of hard sell to get me to pay for additional services at an over inflated price, I was told that unless I agreed to purchase more at a very steep price, that they would not honor my pre-purchased offering through Groupon. I refused.
Upon review and in speaking with a representative of Groupon, I discovered that the practice of pressured sales, false advertising, and "bait and switch" was the norm as numerous complaints have been filed by individuals.
I would have to state 'BUYER BEWARE" and to stay away very far away from National Hair Centers of Phoenix, AZ.

I am about to file a lawsuit against national hair centers for using carcinogenic products on me Coal tar and Cade oil and when i told Dave McKenna about my allergic reactions to the Ross products and cannot be in or around places that used those chemicals i was denied a refund and this was years ago and finally i am getting with a lawyer. The only concern he had was his commission on the sale and did not care and i was not only mislead but had lots of anxiety, medical bills etc due to the allergic reaction. They would not help me in any way and i can not go in there building due to the use of those products used so much in the past.

National Hair Centers is committed to the highest standards of the medical profession. The decision to perform hair transplantation, like any surgery, is one not to be taken lightly. At National Hair Centers, the determination who is a proper candidate is made by NHC Image Consultants based on a strict criteria established by NHC surgeons.
We would rather "turn away" an individual and return their money than perform a surgical procedure determined by our doctors to provide inadequate coverage, and, would in their view, produce poor results. Most prospective patients understand and appreciate that these safeguards and standards are in place for their protection. However, on rare occasions, an individual such as PaulAZ will become disappointed when told they are not a candidate for a specific procedure. In the case of PaulAZ, he demanded that NHC perform the surgical procedure, despite the professional judgment of the experienced NHC personnel that he was not a good candidate. NHC respectfully declined. The decision to perform surgery is exclusively determined by surgeons and staff, regardless to how threatening, verbally abusive, or combative an individual like PaulAZ becomes. We will not lower our standards based on verbal intimidation. To do so would be unethical, and in the view of NHC, border on malpractice.
PaulAZ purchased a 1000 graft procedure through Groupon. The ad clearly stated that non-candidates would be refunded their money. NHC surgeons perform, on a regular basis, 1000 graft procedures on patients who are evaluated to be candidates for only 1000 grafts. Due to the extent and progression of PaulAZs’ hair loss, however, it was determined that he would require a minimum of 2000 grafts to produce adequate results. When he elected not to choose this option, NHC advised Groupon to refund PaulAZs’ money and his money was refunded in full.
