National Homeowners Legal Network National Homeowners Legal Network ripped me off $3000 Lake Forest, California

I started having financial problems about 7 months ago with my home, I was talk to a friend who was also having financial problems,  he gave me a number to call.  The name of the company was National Homeowners.  I called them and they fed me all kinds of things that sounded great!  They told me they can save my home and get my mortgage lower.  They faxed over paperwork for me to fill out, the requirement was $3000 to negotate with my mortgage company,  I have been living in my house for 6 years and due to no work was ready to lose everything. I scraped all the money I could get together and got the $3000 to give them. They were very believable. I reserched the company and saw positive things. I asked them why I'm paying them money to help me with my mortgage when there are all kinds of free help.  They said I would probably lose my house before they even get to my case because of so many people strugging in the country. It kind of made sense because when you pay a company they get the job done.  I heard from them here and there and then absolutely nothing! When I did talk to them they said everything is going good! I started working with them around aug of 09.  It is now feb 2010 and I have been getting mail saying my house is in foreclosure.  I got very nervous and called them.  The number was disconnected.  I called 3 more numbers that I had and they have been all disconnected.  I emailed them about 10 times and still no responts. I called my friend that gave me their number and he said he can't get ahold of them ether.  I called my mortgage company and they said they have not talked to them since Oct 8 09. I am now problably going to loose my house and they took all the money I had.  I dont know how people can do things like this!!  When you think things cant get any worse they do!  I cant get in contact with them, it is like they never existed. My friend also lost $2000. I dont know what to do now. $3000 could have helped me saved my home.
