Bill Hood, CEO of National Magazine Exchange, includes in his company motto "integrity and dedication." My mother-in law is 92, caucasian, and was sold SHAPE, BLACK ENTERPRISE, LATINA, and OUTSIDE--titles that would obviously appeal to a 92 year-old caucasian lady, right?

At 92, my MIL has no interest in getting in shape for a bikini, nor is she interested in Black business or Latina women's concerns, and she's not real keen on men's outdoor activities. . . What was that again, Bill? Integrity? How do you spell that? "Screw old ladies?" That's what I thought. . .

If taking advantage of a 92 year-old senior is a model of integrity, Bill Hood obviously flunked high school English. But I'll give you dedication--the salespeople are like bulldogs with their teeth in your butt, and won't let go until a poor old 92 year-old lady suffering from dementia says uncle.
Shame on NME! They are criminal at worst and despicaple at best.

I agree shame on NME.

Jim those crappy magazines are what NME calls bonus mags. They got paid a bonus by the publishers to shove them off on your mother-in-law so that the publisher can claim higher circulation and stick it to their advertisers.

There is a long list of skanky employees (Jazzz-asleep with all those z's, Alexandria, Jennifer, Charles, Rhian, Bob, Anna, Ashley, Liz, Palm Harbor John, Crystal, Kimberly, Eric, Chris, Little Brady the LITTLEbully) on this site that will babble that their magazine deal is the best but you are witness that the magazines are pretty much worthless to the caller.

And then there are people like Zac who move into billing and they think they can have a clear conscience because they are no longer an SSA or Verifier (translation: sales s***k and closer s***k).

I agree - shame on NME. And shame on the ABC Audit Bureau of Circulation for allowing this crap. The advertisers should demand a stop to this type of mag sales. The advertisers are getting ripped off and callers like your MIL are getting ripped off.

Stand back - I am sure there will be lots of irrational rebuttals from current s***k employees.

Jim your MIL should demand a refund.
