I listed my mobile home in the local paper. I received a call from National Multi List Service about them listing my mobile home on the internet. They took my information and later I received a call from Linda. She told me the service was $189. I told her I had been looking at other sites that were much cheaper. She told me that if my mobile home didn't sell quickly she would list in multiple areas and market it aggressively. That that is what they do and they do it well. She also said that they had contacts in Mississippi and were getting calls all the time for mobile homes and that they would travel great distances to buy them and take them back to the Gulf for displaced people to live in and that if I would list my mobile home with them, she would tell them when they called that my home was available and could be moved. She also said that they would provide financing for buyers if needed and that she would send me a credit application to keep on hand for potential buyers.

I never got one call or email that came from this service. I never got a credit application from them, not even when I requested another one after they sent me a bill of sale that was supposed to also be sent with the credit app. When I called, Linda was busy. When I emailed, she would email that she relisted the mobile home in places like Lake Tahoe. I continuously told her that there probably weren't many people who live in Lake Tahoe that would be interested in a $10,000 mobile home in Tucson. She never listed it in more than two cities at a time and as far as I could tell did nothing to try to sell my mobile home. I got much better response from websites that only cost $35 to $50 than I did from this ripoff. Almost everything she told me was a lie. It was a wasted $189.

They called me every week for four or five weeks trying to sell me their service and when I would tell them that I was already signed up and had no response, they would tell me that that wasn't their department and that they would tell Linda. I would email Linda and she would tell me she had relisted the mobile home in two other cities. She never did the aggressive marketing she told me she would do.

Bad Employee!!!

AUTHOR: In the name of God!!! - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, November 30, 2012
For Sale By Owner Company had hired me to help in the Sales and Marketing for the largest For Sale By Owner Used, Boats, Homes, Land and RV's...before I started with this company I wanted to know who I was going to give my valuable time to. So like many others I did a Google search and found Rip Off Report and the alleged negative information. I still went to my Interview.

I met the President Newt Jones, who by the way is an ex-United Sates Marine Veteran Sergeant who has served in the Korean War. He served with some pretty famous men. Mr. Jones told me that No company, let alone one like his in business for 16 years will never go without a complaint. If they do then something is wrong!! Mr. Jones went on to say that he has had some overzealous and vindictive employees and clients that once exposed. There is nothing you can do to make these individuals happy even if you give the money back.

The Rip Off Reports found on this site Mr. Jones said they come from old employees once he  discovered the employees actions; they were immediately terminated. Mr. Jones told me at his age (78), he refuses to be bullied by anyone...and he will not pay to have information removed because of anonymous frivolous reports or upset clients.

Mr. Jones explained that at his age and what he has gone through that there is bad people everywhere and you can't pay them all off...nor can one pay off companies who do not verify these types of potential damaging false allegations by anonymous tipsters or so called clients.

Mr. Jones went on to say to me his company has been in business since 1996 and in 1998 he became a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), founded in 1912 and National Multi List Services became a Credited Business in 2003 and in the last 3 years National Multi List
Services
has had 46 complaints that have all been resolved satisfactory and still hold a A+ Rating: http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/mobile-homes-distributors-and-manufacturers/national-multilist-in-denver-co-12033138

I believe in Newt Jones, and his company he built in 1996 called National Multi List Services, I became one of his Sale and Marketing Directors and I if there is one thing I have learned from the For Sale By Owner Industry of Used Homes, Boats, RV's and Land Investments... is the following:

1.   The serious For Sale by Owner of Used Homes, Boats, RV's and Land Investments must be prepared to spend $500 - $2,500 to market their property

2.   Nobody can guarantee they can sell your property if they do call the owner or management and immediately to stop this madness

3.   Make sure the companies you decide to For Sale By Owner will contact you every 20 to 30 days to keep your listing fresh. Some For Sale By Owner Listing Companies tell you you need to call them every 20 to 30 days use this ploy to get your account and most of the time will never call you again we even had some employees that have done that case in point

4.    Get all Warranties in Writing or make sure it is posted on the For Sale By Owners Website

5.    Make sure your For Sale by Owner Listing Company has been in business for at least
5 years... the more years the better for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

6.    Google, Yahoo, Bing Search the commonly used phrase: Buy Used Homes For Sale By Owner and see who is 1st on the page dont include the sponsored ads (these ads costs thousands of dollars) which we dont have to pay for because we are first or at least on the first page with most top Search Engines

7.    National Multi List Services offers 2 different Marketing Package prices that differ from Used Boats, RVs to the Homes and Land Investments make sure you are clear before you commit

8.    Make sure your For Sale By Owner Listing Company is full service!!! Make sure they can provide Financing all For Sale by Owner Used Homes, Boats, RV's and Land Investments and help your buyer with all paper work in regards to financing

9.   Watch out for hidden cost,  never pay more than one price for listing services for marketing dont go over the $2,500 budget and at least list with a company that never drops your listing until it sells or you get your money back guaranteed

Those of you who For Sale By Owner call my Direct Line 720-383-5140 and/or our Customer Service line 866-514-5499 I have guarantees for the For Sale by Owner you can only get from me. Call me and remember? Commission, Commission, Commission thats your money...keep it in your pocket!!!

This is my knowledge of National Multi List Services the Official For Sale By Owner Company for Used Homes, Boats, RVs and Land Investments.

Melissa,

It is regretful that you felt you needed to resort to filing a false report about our company. Aside from not selling your MH I am confounded about what your complaint truly is. National Multi List is a listing company. We do not sell nor buy recreational vehicles. We list your property and allow others to come to our site to view it. Much like your classified ad section in the newspaper. We don't guarantee sales, we don't guarantee that you will even receive ONE phone call. The success or relative failure of someone seeing your ad is based upon consumer tastes.

Our company provides you with more exposure for people to see your ad.

Additionally we provide other benefits like financing assistance, remarketing until sold, and no dealer competition.

Our website receives in access of 150,000 hits on a daily basis of people looking to buy or sell an RV, which makes us the largest website of it's kind in the world. That makes it likely that you will find a buyer and receive phone calls of inquiry.

Even all of that cannot guarantee a sale. No more so than your local newspaper. I wonder have you reported them as a scam?

We have remarketed your ad several times, and shall continue to do so (for no additional financial committment) until it does sell. Try that with your local paper.

This complaint that you have lodged is not even a complaint. It's as calculated smear campaign againts a company that has provided you every service that we contracted we would provide for you.

Had you suffered a real injustice, you could have called my office and addressed any concern that you may have had. I am most dilligent to respond to my customers concerns and would have addressed yours promptly. Please note the following:

Dated Monday April 24, 2006
Dennis Dugger

"We were contacted by a person living in Oroville, CA. on April 7th concerning the Alpenlite. She saw our ad on your site and was looking for an Alpenlite Stonecreek 36ft and Ford F350 diesel pick up. She stated that unfortunatly she had to go through several pages before she came upon our ad. We met this person at the storage facility where the trailer was and did a walk through along with a test drive of the pickup. She was very happy and gave us a down payment. The sale and exchange of propety and money takes place this Weds. The 26th"

Our listing service indeed works. It works very well. It is unfortunate that your has not sold yet for whatever reason.

Might you consider raising or lowering your price? Might you provide better pictures that prospective buyers might be attracted by?

In the final analysis, there is much you can do to make your property more attractive to buyers. But please, don't try to kill the messenger.

I should have ignored this slanderous diatribe about my company with the reason that one disgruntled customer out of 35,000 couldn't be half bad. But my position is that we shouldn't have even one.

Yet the half truths and outright slander that you have perpetrated within this venue, and that you did not seek to resolve this issue at higher levels, strikes me that your motivations were more sinister.
