National Water & Power, AKA NWP ripoff Santa Ana California

This company charged us OUTRAGIOUS water bill fees and when we disputed them they did NOTHING except tell us to pay our full bill!

We lived in a 900 sq. foot apt. with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and all the apts. around us were the same size. Our water bill was consistantly over $100.00 per month and they would not lower it! We disputed it and even went to the apt. manager, who told us to take the matter up with NWP.

We finally started asking our neighbors and not one of them ever had a bill over $48.00!! We submitted this in writing to NWP along with our dispute and they did not care. Their response was "you are responsible for paying your bill in full". I spoke with a customer service rep. one time and she said if we didn't pay our water bill in full every month it would go on our credit.

We moved from that apt. complex and bought a 2060 sq. ft. house with a water sprinkler system, which we use every other day, curbside trash pickup and 2 1/2 bathrooms and our water bill was only $45.00!!

We received a final bill from the apts. for our final water bill and it was over $350.00! They said it was so high because they run 3 months behind for billing.

We WILL NOT pay these kinds of fees ANY MORE!!! We have paid over $100.00 a month for over 8 months and will not let NWP steal any more of our hard earned money!!!

The customer service is terrible at this company as well. When you call, if you are lucky enough not to get disconnected you have to wait on hold for long periods of time just to have someone be rude to you when you finally get through!!

I know that we are not the only consumers who have had these types of problems with NWP and I would personally like to see them pay everyone back that they have ripped off in the past and be put out of business!!!
