Let me start off by saying that this company is highly suspicious to me and I personally think that they are scam artists; they have scammed me, and now I want my money back.

It was June 14th this year, 2008, when I ordered a water filter form this company b/c it was a really good deal. Payment went through my account on June 16th for $190.65. They first began by saying they didn't know where the item was but would look into it. Then, they said that the product was being manufactured overseas.

So, I called the manufacturer. 'KATADYN'-they said they have a Lot of retailers, but She hadn't heard of Nature's Freedom.

I began inquiring about my product from Nature's Freedom and they wouldn't reply at all. By then It was August, and at this point I realized I wasn't getting my product and I needed to act. I did but, it was too late to Stop the paypal payment. (Must be w/in 45 days for paypal to do a Stop Pymt). I also called my bank. (Again, too late-to do a Stop pymt w/ my bank b/c I it had to be within 60 days. It was like 70).

In short, After having not received anything in response to my many emails, and voice mails left, I am attempting to seek reparations for my order, for which a payment went through on my account on June 15th, 2008. The problems of no response from Nature's Freedom have continued throughout since the order date; as well as continuing after further repeated attempts to make contact with them.

I have sent them over 100 complaint letters, probably 5 postal letters, and over 200 phone calls. I have yet to receive a remedy for my complaint which is why I am writing this letter.

I was forced purchase another water filter from another nearby outdoor retailer, REI. That is not the problem. The problem that lies with Natures Freedom is that it has yet to make contact with me detailing the whereabouts of my order, or my refund.

It is now October 9th and nothing. It has been more than 4-5 days, (their current claim to when this exact product should be shipped out); it has been over 100 days, and I demand reparations. I have consistently and repeatedly made phone calls, and left voice mails.

However, recently (approximately, on September 9th their telephone number seemed to have been disconnected: Order Line: 1-980-328-5676). The fax number provided is also out of order (Fax Line: 980-243-7878). The new number listed (1-980-328-2516, Yeah, this one is pointless too!) I am left with no options other than to inform them that I am pursuing civil action in order to seek a way to receive reparations. No contact, no effort to make reparations on their end has forced me to do this. I think that is very poor management. I am to pursue civil action immediately if reparations are not attempted to be made.

The "Nature's Freedom" representative known as "Mia" - in rebuttal to a customer complaint, no less! - insults our intelligence. Excuses ("[T]he company is under new management") and bromides ("not give up") engender something quite the opposite of confidence, and would more appropriately used as self-condemnation rather than self-defense. Comments like "[t]his is a process" - coupled, incredibly, with "Mr. Adam has been harrassing me for almost a month now," are infuriatingly condescending. We're to accept that - by your own admission! - you failed to come to an equitable conclusion to a dispute between yourselves and a CUSTOMER in over FOUR WEEKS? This is a "rebuttal?"

I am the person that Adam has been cooresponding with at Natures Freedom. I am sending this to set "His Story" straight!

I have responded to every email that he has sent to Natures Freedom, I have explained to him that the company is under new management and I will look into his complaint. Upon doing so, I found no records to confirm his complaint... but I still promised him I would not give up, and if, indeed he had not received his order on our account, then I would see to it that he did, or was refunded his money. This is a process!
Mr. Adam has been harrassing me for almost a month now, and regardless of his comments, I am still trying to get to the truth. When I do, no matter who is at fault, this will be cleared up!

Until then, Mr. Adam, I will not be answering any more of your emails or phone calls. You have been entirely too rude, and I have done nothing but try to help.
Your False Report is twisted, with promises to you that I never made, which leads me to doubt your honesty in any part of this. For all I know, Maybe your item was stolen, and you just want us to send you another one...

This place is scamming people left and right and I'm not gonna put up with it. I spoke with someone at the company today. I also recorded the whole phone call... I reached them at 1-850-419-7741. A lady named Mia answered. I think her name is Mia Murphy, I received an email from a Mia Murphy claiming in these words, "your refund in underway, please standby for further information regarding your refund." And here it is 2009, and nothin! Anywho I spoke to a live person named Mia today. She claims that she just recently took over the company and would research the issue and would get back to me. HA HA HA! I'm not counting on it. Too many times have I heard that before. I will bring this company down though. I will... Send a corresponding letter to my email.-It is my first name dot my last name at the word email dot cudenver dot edu. DIE NATURE'S FREEDOM! DIE!
