NBIE National Business Information Exchange ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent billing, lie, edited recording, scam Chesapeake Beach Maryland

This company called an employee to ask if they were interested in something related to business development or additional exposure. The employee never agreed to purchase any goods or services from them, but agreed to preview a CD. They sent the CD and invoiced the company $414.

Once this became escalated NBIE agreed to issue an RMA, but still wants to charge $299. The CD was never opened, we told them long ago that we were not interested and wanted to return the unopened item, but they have attempted to continue their scam.

Of course, as part of their scam they play a short clip from the original phone conversation, but of course not the entire conversation. They use it in an effort to "prove" that it was an order. Clearly it was not, and in fact they will likely have IRS issues if they are booking these as revenue when there is not a valid sell (sound familiar???).
