Don't EVER use a pay phone of any sort that this NCIC services!!! They will UNFAIRLY charged you an arm and a leg just to make a simple local phone call that is usually ONLY 40 cents (if you use coins!) They play it off as it should BE YOUR DUTY to know that you will be charged a incredable amount of money.

NO WHERE does it state on the pay phone itself nor does it prompt you before using your card, or even an operater won't let you know. This is their way of ripping you off. I am so beyond frustrated and angry!

This is my Story: The battery on my cell phone died, so I used a payphone close to my home, it was getting late, dark out and VERY cold. Here I was standing at this pay phone, didn't want to bother going all the way into the store to get change, so I took out my Washington Mutual (I am dealing with the idiots as well, and I have a second claim open. They are not working with me as well, I am in the process of changing banks after this is all cleared up!) debit card and thought that would be easy! DON'T EVER DO THIS!!!!

Here I am standing in the dark and cold, talking to my Aunt and Uncles about My Dear Grandma's Funeral arrangements, crying...little did I know I was being milked for my hard-earned money!!!! GET THIS-I made 3 local calls- They had the nerve to charge me $58.00 for one local phone call that I only on the phone for less than 8 minutes or less! Another phone call for $47.00 and the third call $28.00!!! PLUS, They don't tell you that they will add a $30.00 "HOLDING FEE" for each call made! So, add that up! That's $223! for 3 local calls... Those holding fees do come off in 5-7 bussiness days, BUT THEY LEFT ME WITH OVER DRAFTS!!!

Wait, there's more... I had already paid all my rent and bills and food for the month, so I didn't have that much left in my account-maybe around $75.00, So therefore ALL These calls caused me to get 6 over drafts of $33.00 each!!! I am so in the red!!! I am out $355.00 FOR 3 LOCAL CALLS people. I think this is unfair and totally ridiculous. Who ever heard of such a thing?

They have the rudest customer service there in Texas and I called over and over again, all rude! I finally got a "manager" on the line named "Maria" and I had to ask this pathetic company to send me out a letter of my calls, the date of the calls, the duration of the calls and the amounts. It took a month and 6 phone calls to FINALLY get this letter. NOW I wait for the letter from WASHINGTON MUTUAL, that they seem to be having trouble sending out too. 3 phone calls later, I am still waiting for the letter from my bank.

The first time I called NCIC, the rude chic on the line did "credit " me some money back, but they act like they are doing you a favor, when that is quite laughable. They probaly feel their doing "a good deed". I complained over and over again about thier high prices and the trickery they use. The rude chic said that their prices were ok by the FCC. I some how don't believe that! I went ahead and reported them to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and I will keep on it!

All this headache and this ordeal has caused me stress and strife! It had caused me to put my LIFE ON HOLD! $355.00- I would have already had my car insurance paid and my T.V Cable turned on (I just moved) and wouldn't have to worry about food money IF IT WEREN'T FOR THESE JERKS and their shady "business"... practices!

I am even getting my Lawyers to get in on this. SO PLEASE IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU REPORT IT ASAP and don't let these greedy, mean people get away with it!!! Google them and complain!!! and I don't need a reply from NCIC either, NOTHING you can say will make this alright. I'm exhausted of your "empathy".
