This collection agency also contacted me with a letter dated July 22, 2005, about a bogus credit account with Chase Providian. I have never had an account with this card. They claim I owe $13,000, including $5000 in interest! I will send the registered letter and notify the post office as well.

I paid Spiegel a few years ago the balance on an account and then closed it. NCO is now pretending that they have taken over collection on this already paid account

AUTHOR: Shelly - (United States Minor Outlying Islands)

POSTED: Sunday, September 11, 2005

NCO made up a pretend account that they are claiming I owe money to. I paid Spiegel a few years ago the balance on an account and then closed it. NCO is now pretending that they have taken over collection on this already paid account and have more than doubled the bill. They are reporting it as a charge off that they are attemting to collect on to the three credit bureaus. I have contacted NCO in writing several times and they refuse to provide me with verification of the amount due, in fact the will not respond to me at all. Spiegel tells me they don't know anything about an overdue account and that my bills were paid. Please don't suggest I call them. I only want to deal with them in writing only.

fake bill, fake customer, over NCO
