I received a letter on December 20, 2007 stating that I owed $6,722.62 to Chase Bank. The correspondence stated that I could pay 50% of the above balance in up to 3 monthly payments.

First of all, the letter was sent in my maiden name which I haven't used in over 15 years. Secondly, I have no knowledge of ever having a Chase account in my maiden name.

My first order of action will be to contact Chase to find out what information they have on hand regarding the account and go from there.
