NCO Financial ripoff Horsham Pennsylvania

My first contact with NCO was through my wife telling me they had talked to her about my supposed debt(medical). They told her the amount and terms they would accept, giving only 4 days before they were going to report me to a credit agency.

I have some questions.

If I see a lawyer on my own regarding this will it preclude me from any future class action?
Is this "take this deal now or else we are going to report you to a collection agency" considered harrasment?
Do they have the right to make an offer that is only good for four days?
Do they have the obligation to make the offer in writing?
