Neighbors Moving and Storage!!!

 3 years ago I needed to move out of my 1 bedroom one and a half bath, 900 sq foot apartment and then store my furniture for a month until I was able to move into my next place. I have never filed a complaint until now because there really was nothing that I could have done to get my stuff back or did not have the money to sue this company. But after a couple more times of being taken advantage of here in Miami I am kind of sick of it and decided to do this now. And the fact that they did not seem to care that they were hiring x-cons that have been arrested for breaking and entering, theft, and grand larceny. Everyone deserve another shot in life but I find it odd that a moving company would take chances with these kind of convicted felons. Maybe hire someone with a history in drug possessions, a bar fight, DUIS or something else. But how can you trust some of these guys with your customers personal and expensive belongings? But who cares about us as long as they make their money and they dont have to pay their employees much.

During the first phone call I was priced for hourly rates for 3 movers. And of course it took much longer and
cost me double the quote. I was all-alone during the move out process so did not have anyone to keep an eye on what was going on downstairs when I was up stairs in my apartment. In my bedroom bathroom I had all my personal
belongings, computer equipment, photography equipment, jewelry, clothes etc My jewelry was in my jewelry box inside another box behind the toilet. These things that were going with me where I was going to be staying. I told all of them that if they had to use the bathroom that they could use the other bathroom that, they did not need to go into that bathroom for any reason!!! Considering is was jam-packed and they had to climb over stuff to get to the
toilet and the other one was empty.

In addition to the movers taking their time and one guy not doing anything but marking down the boxes and putting stickers on all the items. His name was Shawn. I would go down stairs to see what was taking these guys so long to get back up stairs and of course they were talking on their cell phones and smoking cigarettes. I did two other things in order to have everything go smoothly. I bought them food and gave them beverages. Shawn who was doing nothing told me he had a birthday coming up and I told him and the other guys that when they go out that I would set them up with a VIP table and bottle of alcohol at a club I had worked with in the past. That I did not have
much money to tip them when that were done that I would hope this would make up for it. This was a $350.00 deal for them. It seems like a good idea to have at least one person without a criminal history to do Shawns job so there is at least one person could keep and eye on the other criminals to make sure noting was getting stolen. They were all in on this!!! So when coming back up from downstairs I walked into my bedroom as one of the guys
was walking out of my bathroom. I mentioned to him that to use the other bathroom again.

I also foundit odd that there were a few items like my Kenwood stereo and huge speakers, a big chair that looked like a big red shoe that I had custom made, tall Asian lamp, a massage chair. It just so happened that when I got my stuff delivered to my next apartment these items did not show up. How organized of them to know
ahead of time that to find the items that they wanted so they could put them into the truck last so they can make a drop off on the way back to the warehouse to their places or some other place. And of course had to pay for
extra travel time because there was so much traffic.

The worst part of the story is a couple days after I was at my friends house where I was staying and I went to
put on my jewelry. I was missing $10,000 in my jewelry. And 2 priceless pieces that were from that was my dead grandmothers. The only things I had from her memory, new pair of diamond and sapphire earrings and a diamond bracelet from my ex-boyfriend who recently passed away. Another reason why my feelings about this has re-surfaced. So when I went to their facility and where house to discuss this situation with the manager, you walk into a small little room where you have to be buzzed in from the out side and there is this tiny little window (bullet proof Im sure) that they peek there face out of to see who you are then they have to buzz you into another inside part. They are pretty much on lock down over there to protect themselves from the people they rob.

I did go to the police station and file a report and they took fingerprints of my jewelry box but were un-able to
lift the prints because the surface of the box was not a flat surface. So of course they could not do anything. I had little corronspaces from the company after this they asked me to send in a letter with the items listed and a
complaint, I did both and sent copies of receipts of some of the jewelry items missing and the items that were on the back of the truck. They said that they would speak to the guys and ask them if they did this. Of course they said
no!!! I told the manager that I was going to file BBB complaints and on other websites; he asked me not to they he would do what he could to help me. Of course did noting and I had to pay for the delivery when I moved into my next
place since they had my stuff in storage, and you have to pay to have the crates taken down with a lift from the storage facility.

So what are we as customers to do in situations like this? I was the perfect victim to them and they took advantage of the situation. Even when I tried to be as cool to them as I could to prevent this from happening. Never was rude to them or treated them disrespectful as some customers may do. I know that they were going to have all
my stuff and I didnt want anything to happen to it and I still got screwed!!!

I have heard that this company also uses a couple other names for the business. So when making your next move DO NOT use these guys and do your research!!!
