Nelson N. Waikiki AKA "Nahino" approached me while I was running in the park, alone, and began speaking to me about his life and business ventures.  As soon as I told him I had just finished college and had a Biology degree he jumped to tell me that he could get me a job as a biologist for his new water development project.  He rambled on and on for hours about his life, claiming he was in the military for many years and got his MBA in Engineering.  He is very personable and took total advantage of how new I was to the island.  He claimed to know people that worked for the state, elected officials, gave me multiple documents claiming water rights and land rights to property in upcountry, as well as "accepted" loan applications for the project, etc.  I met with him twice, thinking that this would be my "in" in the Biology field here in Maui to do water testing for his project, and yet I began to be skeptical when he kept asking me for prices of what I would need for the project.  Accredited laboratories must be used for water testing according to EPA and State requirements, which he was totally unaware of and made me question is legitimacy.  He said that this job would pay upwards of $80,000 a year and would include a work truck.  All of which I'm sure I would be paying him for at the end of the scam. This is discusting; I hope all who read will stay clear of this man.
