I was out of town in New Orleans last week and was checking my email before I headed out to my Convention. I  saw something about "thank you for your order" from Network Solutions and that they had charged nearly $380 to my debit account. I had taken off the auto-renew on my account but judging from another post here, sounds like they took it upon themselves to add it back.

I also saw on my monthly payment that they had charged me twice on one month and was told they changed their billing cycle which means they charge your more money each year now.

I contacted them immediately and was told it would be refunded to my account in 1-2 business days. I kept in contact with my bank and they still had not heard anything. They said if this Network Solutions faxed them a statement on their letterhead that they were refunding the money, they would immediately reinstate my funds. Keep in mind, this is not a credit card but my debit card. I have incurred late fees on a payment as a result of this and I work hard to keep my credit up.

The lady on the phone told me she had no way of sending a fax but could send me an email and the email she sent was very vague and just said adjustments. She also stated it can take 5 or more days. I let her know that if my bank did not accept this email, I will be calling back for a supervisor. I think it is bad business and I think it is deceptive and will be dropping all the services I have with them. It is a shame that they are ripping people off and then due to it being their own error, not willing to do what it takes to correct it (sending fax). Oh and the best part, my renewal wasn't due until MARCH! Why are they taking money 2 months in advance? They shouldn't have taken it anyway but they took it upon themselves to put autorenew back on the account. Something needs to be done about this!

Same thing happened to me. Watch Them

AUTHOR: Charzanka - (United States of America)

They turned auto renewal back on on me also. I was very careful to have it disabled but when I called them they said they sent out an email telling people they were turning it back on unless you objected.

I am sorry but my lack of ojection is NOT premission. Isn't charging a credit card without permission ILLEGAL??!!

I fought it, called credit card company, they stopped the charge, next day network solutions tried to charge it again.

Shouldn't someone have charges pressed against them for this???????

To top this all off it was two months before my domain was due to be renewed.

You are warned. Personally, I Will Never Give Them a Dime.
