YES. I see that finally someone experienced with NSB what I have been thru several times. Let's say that you notice that your account is going to be overdraft because of checks that are on the way. So you deposit cash, enough to cover, but also more to make sure. Then you spend something else with your debit (gas or groceries), making sure that you stay in the limits of your deposit.. ... The next day, you look at your account and find out that they charged you overdraft fee(s). How is that possible? Here is the secret...They actually take your overdrawn balance, apply all your debits, yes the ones that you did AFTER covering with CASH the overdraft, they apply a fee for each OD, and only then they credit you with the deposits... That's how they do it. And if you complain, since you are a "small bait" for them, their obnoxious and arrogant manager tells you that it's the way itis, it's the way the system works... S>C>A>M.

and also this:

I have banked at NSB for 8 years and never had a customer's check bounced. never. This bank is NOT SMALL BUSINESS FRIENDLY. You better have a lot of money to bank there, in which case they kiss your butts, but if you are a struggling business, they make your life miserable. They constantly put holds on checks, local or not, up to 7 business days for a $1,000 check. SEVEN, that's more than ten days counting the weekend in between. Everyone who owns a small business and struggle to make a living knows how much we depend on getting our money fast. But NSB couldn't care less. They hold the check for SEVEN DAYS supposedly because of 6 overdrafts in 6 months, 1 a month... A check takes 3 days max. to clear.... even sooner if they call to verify funds. So their policy is bs and discriminatory. The less money you have or make, the more they bury you. Stay away from that bank or be prepared to count on your savings and friends when you expect YOUR money to pay your bills because NEVADA STATE BANK won't give a d**n if holding your check puts you in trouble. DO NOT BANK AT NSB OR YOU WILL BE SORRY.

...you also seem to have a lot of "detail" knowledge about my acount, which leads me to think that you are affiliated or even employed with NSB. In which case, why don't you reach out to me to discuss this? but here again, it would be using something called "Customer Service" which seems to be lacking more than I thought after reading your report Mr."Robert". Additionally, I am not ranting for the sake of it. NSB has lousy reviews everywhere, including about the same reason. Get the facts..

It is my personal account

You act like you are so knowledgeable... then you must know that as a DBA, you are not required to have 2 separate accounts as long as you maintain a ledger separating your personal expenses and your business expenses. So as far as I am concerned you don't know what you are talking about. My tax return is done under my own name. So I can deposit hat I want and use my card as I wish wherever I want because it is not a business card. It's a personal debit card on a personal account. This being said, you are missing my point. There is no mention in my report of NSB doing anything illegal. I was making a point of them being unconsiderate and changing their policy depending of the branch or the staff at the branch. I wasn't born yesterday. I have been in business long enough to know that there are better customer service out there. Now to your suggestion of leaving the bank, I don't see why I should turn my business upside down, reprint another 300 checks, move the monthly ACH's that I have, etc..., just because i do not get a kinder customer service. I didn't od anything wrong. If I would to practice such by the book policy with my customers, I would be out of business by now. The good news about that is that I would collect government benefits that I am sure you would enjoy to pay for.

Here is the real question

Why are you mixing your personal and business transactions in one account?

Think of this as a friendly warning.  This appears to be a "business" account as you are talking about depositing customers checks.  But you are using it as a "personal" account using money for groceries.   The IRS takes a very dim view of people "mixing" transactions.  So unless you have kept very meticulous records you are going to be screwed if the IRS ever decides to audit you.

Perhaps it is this "business" logic you seem to have as to why your business is struggling.  As another example, why would you deposit CASH only to then turn right around and use your debit card to do a withdraw at a gas station or grocery store?   Why didn't you just hold back enough money from the deposit?  The last time I checked..grocery stores and gas stations still accept cash and will gladly give you a receipt.

Next, if you have been with them for 8 years and know that they post your debits before your credits..then you need to adjust.  If you don't like that..then why have you stayed?  There are actually still banks that post credits before debits.  If you stay..then you have to accept their posting order.

Now, as for the holds.  Take a look at the Expedited Funds Availability Act(Regulation CC), it gives specific guidelines as to how long a bank can hold a check.  If you have overdrafts the bank is allowed to do extended holds.  By the way..$1000 is not really a "small" check.

I don't know where you got the idea that a check takes 3 days to clear, or sooner if they call to verify the funds when you have 6 overdrafts.  But Regulation CC states that if your account has been in Overdraft for 6 or more days in 6 months for any amount or 2 or more days for over $5,000, they can place an "exception" hold for 7 business days.   If you have a problem with that then go talk to your Senators and Representatives and have them change the regulations.
