I have been recieving notices now getting papers saying if I don't pay the full amount I will be arrest by Aug 1, 2008. I know that the information is not from the original creditor because I tried to contact them and they do not have any information of my having an acclount with them being that its=was so long ago.

Even if you have a judgment against you it may be reversed through an action in equity. You may get your money back if there was an execution or levy.
Look into "Void Judgments" for more info. If they have a judgment against you, it is probably void!
