New York State DMV Snowmobile Town of Webb, Old Forge New York, Thendara Registration is a ripoff, only good till following summer, go to Wisconsin instead Old Forge, New York

I registered snowmobiles as an Out of State resident in Feb of 2012, and the registration arrived in the mail with an   expiration date of August 2012. It wasn't even good for the following season. Everything about this town was sort of gouging on the part of the small businesses in the area. Every small business owner there, thinks they need to make 6 figure income. Hotels were 140 per night, snowmobile rentals were 300 per day, they were charging 110 dollars for ATV batteries bought at Wal Mart for 35 dollars. I considered going to Wisconsin to go snowmobiling and at the last minute decided upon Old Forge, NY  because of other things I could do on the way, they are both the same distance from me. Next year I will go to Wisonsin, they have 2 years registrations, very inexpensive Hotels, and there is always snow there, this would be right on the Michigan border, check the snow cover map on intellicast.
