I'm writing this report so as to expose what should be a great company, is actually doing behind customers backs. If you like myself have been buying from new egg for years and most of the time they do take care when a product is bad, but only a few years ago they have been offering extended or replacement contracts on selected computer hardware. To this date, newegg has never once honored even one item covered by them and I have a lot of emails from newegg, each one with a different story or company to contact and even when the rare occasion happens where there is record of the item or contract, the guarantor points you back at newegg  who then completely ignores further emails.

Out of everything I purchased a contract on luckily only one item had died within 45 days. Luckily it was just a printer and not a motherboard. Newegg denies ever selling such contracts but their own employee listed above charged my credit card for several items which at the time their system couldn't add them to order so had to be done manually. I went as far as sending copies of my bank statement to them proving they charged for the contracts and as I said before, once confronted with proof, they stop replying to email!s and if you use their phone system to call them, the moment they look up the history, they put you on hold or just hang up.

So far they have gotten away due to statute of limitations for charging for services never rendered but the one item that is broken since almost day one, just discovered its still under California's statute of limitations so will use that one item as a loophole to get back monies they owe for contracts and printer. If you happen to live in California and never been to small claims court, many who let companies like this get away because they are too intimidating or afraid you are no match for their attorneys, know this very important law in California: Both the defendant and plaintiff in small claims court may not be represented in court by an attorney.

Both may consult one outside of court, but none may enter the courtroom during the small claims hearing. If you do this, take the opportunity to go to your law library or even look up California state law online and print out what applies to you. It may be daunting at first, but its a lot easier then it sounds and looks and I have done this to many companies I have listed here and won. To this date I have only lost two Cass, and one was due to finding out my emp!oyer was at fault, not the insurance company. The other was due to serving wrong party. As the old TV show once said, don't take matters into your own hands, take them to court. Which is funny because taking them to court like this is taking the matter into your own hands :)

Far as new egg is consearned, I highly suggest not buying their extended warranty's as you will never see any benefit other then watching your hard earned money line new eggs pockets.
