Nexon, a company with an already horrid reputation for terrible customer service, has struck again. This time they have initiated a rollback from July 13th to July 10th, or reset the server to an earlier time, of their servers. While this may not seem like a big deal at all, the timing of this rollback came at the absolute worse moment for nexon's customers.

The servers rolled back just hours before the end of their latest events that countless customers had been spending real money on, and had been spending hours to obtain a prized possesion from this event, an Adventurer Ring. Many customers had almost reached the requirement or had completed this event between the aformentioned dates. However, many players where interupted by a sudden Server Check that lasted nearly 24 hours. After that Server Check, many players logged on to find that all the progress they made had been erased. Some spent several hours, some  a dozen of hour, and all of it was erased on a whim by Nexon.

To be fair, Nexon did have some forms of compensation. All NX, their vitual currency that costs real money, was reported by nexon to be refunded (although, some report that their NX was not refunded), 5,000 Maple Points (another form of NX) was given to many players, and some other less important events where partially extended. However, none of this will changed the fact that many customers lost hours of their lives and have nothing to show for it. It wont change the fact that many players missed out on an event that technically ended before the advertised date (false advertisement is fraud and illegal). And this wont change the fact that the customers of nexon want just compensation, not this travesty.

So nexon, if you are reading this, as a customer I ask you to fix this problem in the most reasonable way possible and satisfy your customers.

This one of the reasons why I stopped playing maplestory after the Big Bang patch they had rollback after rollback and compatibility with windows 2000/7 was nonexistent despite the fact that 7 and 2000 had been out for years.  I played the game for 4 years.  Then there was the instance of user info being leaked thru the MTS and people having all their equips stolen.  Not too mention the horrible community of 13 year olds and people begging you for mesos all the time.
