In January of 2001 i ordered a NextCard Visa at Nextcard.com, they advertised a FIXED RATE of 12.99%. I transferred $6,000.00 off of my other credit cards to this card with it's supposed wonderful 12.99% FIXED RATE, Within eight months my interest rate jumped to 20.00%,they raised this rate without even notifing me, which is illegal.

When i called them, they said they had sent me a letter of notification, which of course was a HUGE LIE!! they also stated they can raise my interest rate whenever they want to. By the way i was never late ever with a single payment to them.

They had absoulutley no reason to raise my interest rate, but they did,since this incident i have spoken to many people who have said this credit card company is one of the biggest RIP-OFF companys in business today. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!
