Nextel Communications ripoff I paid for a new phone and I ended up with a used phone that doesn't function as it should Grand Prarie Texas

I figured that I would share an experience that I have had with Nextel Communications.

I've been a subscriber for quite some time, and recently upgraded my phone to the nex Blackberry 7520. I had a software problem with the origional one that I purchased, and contacted Nextel reguarding it.

The Nextel rep. had to send the phone away to have it fixed, and wasn't sure why it had failed. But in a good attempt she had told me that a new phone would be next day mailed to her for me and that she would call when it came in.

The phone did come in the next day as promised. I got it charged and did a restore to transfer my contacts and other info into the replacement phone. I tried to use the phone to make a call, and realized it had to be activated.

When I called to activate the phone the guy on the other end at 1-800-NEXTEL9 said that the phone was refurbished and that it had already been registered to someone else's account. He cleared it up and the phone works for the most part.

I'm wondering why since I paid for a new phone, to the tune of $300+ after transferring did I end up with a used phone that doesnt function as it should. I call tech support and get the good ol' runaround. When I try and solve problems on a supposedly new phone.

I feel ripped off!!!!
