What happened to the citizens of Bear Creek Township Pennsylvania in the past few weeks was a violation of all things that each of the citizens of the United States are entitled to enjoy... first and foremost their right to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness without it being devalued by a corporations greed.

There is the devastation of what once was a pristine residential neighborhood which is now being scarred by a lumbering, blinking, humming 265' gargantuan telecommunications tower no more than 60 feet from the adjoining property.

A giant that will be emitting Electro Magnetic Radiofrequency waves on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis. As you are aware, there are studies showing the possible irreparable damages that can be done to children growing up around such controversial matter and it has been documented that the phobias and stigmas created by this type of structure reduces the production of melatonin in the human body increasing the chances for depression and stress and in women, breast cancer ... these are both mentally and physically debilitating.

This story is about a governing body relying on one man's approval to grant a permit for such a structure in a neighborhood zoned as residential without the benefit of a public meeting of those residents surrounding this nuisance and possible health risk and devaluative structure. It is about elected officials not doing what they took an oath to do... protect the rights of the citizens within their jurisdiction. It is about the lack of a study being done to offer alternate sites for this tower.

There is a plethora of unresidable land in our area that could have been utilized... the previous parcel the tower company was negotiating with was not in such close proximity to actual homes that have been established for 28 years... but the reason they nixed that option was in their own word... "Greed"... The company did not want to give the gentleman that owned that parcel of land away from the citizens homes an additional $400 a month... that is the price of our lives... $400 a month.

Nextel will come into your neighborhood and try to sneak the next tower into your residential neighborhood if this isn't stopped...
