NHCD - National Health Care Discount Ripoff, False Advertising Nationwide

I am a current employe with NHCD and I have taken a break because of school. I took this job to help suplement my wife's income while I went to school. First thing everyone should know is that they do list you as an employe, but your not selling/offering discount cards. Thats a ploy to see how good you are. You are talking to real people and thats what they want to hear. After that, you can move up to personel. They changed that from Recruiting for those of you who had not heard. Ive been involved with to many MLMs to know that isnt good. Then, durring a meeting, I was informed on how the commisions work. As a potential employe, you dont need to buy the long distance plan. Yes, they could provide ths number for free, yes they get a kick back for the number, but it is saving us money vs. a plan like verizon freedom or something like that with unlimited long distance. Of course brodband phones are better, but we dont have one yet. If you have your own business line, you dont need to get the access code, but thats a lot of money. The thing that got me was they were pushing so hard for peopel to get this code that I asked, "What would happen is they still want to work for the company, but dont want the access code?" My manager said the number and plan would have to be approved, and it would be, and I would only get one doller ($1) commision for the 'hire' ie sale. This made me so mad, i havent done any work for them since. Please know what you are getting into before joing this company. Ill be leaving soon too.

Deedee, I had responded to your question before but I guess I included info that was too specific--it wasn't posted. So I'll try again.

First and most importantly--be persistent and don't expect it to happen overnight. Type in a google search for work at home mom message boards, wahm, work from home, etc. I have a couple that I prefer where folks will answer questions for you and include lists of legitimate companies that hire home workers (most of these boards don't consider NHCD legitimate--wonder why?). Anyway, scour the boards and you'll find something and you'll find other ways to search.

They seem to have changed their ad. Still full of baloney though.

1) The website is run by Fossie Website Design which is the last name of one of the managers for NHCD.

2) No Investment! Not true. You have to pay for their access code or phone service or whatever their pushing at this time.

3) No MLM! Technically true, but NHCD is a well-disguised pyramid scheme where managers are paid off what their teams produce. And in Recruiting, recruiters are paid by how many candidates they "hire."

4)Free Benefit Package for entire family! This is true except the plan you receive costs the company nothing and the benefits you receive can be obtained free online or by paying cash at your providers. This is what you would be selling to consumers.

5) Hourly wages!Hehehehe. I could write a novel on this one but let's just say you are correct in that you are only allowed two hours of work time each day and you'd better meet quota. If you don't you're looking at either being fired or working later for free just to meet quota.

6)Weekly Pay! This is true except when company can't meet payroll or you tick somebody off. And this has happened before.

Cathy, thanks for posting your report. The more people are educated about this company, the fewer folks will get suckered in by it.
