Nijjar/ pama managment American citizen informed by manager that my illegal immigrant x-boyfriend gave me a 30 day notice with out my knowledge...immigrant status was also a supprise considering we got the place with his fa montclaire, California

Me and my x-boyfriend at the time rented an apartment through a company called  Pama managment. We were looking for a month to month place. We called the manager and went to see the place. "WE" had the money saved up to move quickly. The manager only spoke spanish and her husband english and spanish. The manager ( spanish speaking is the manager) gave us the applications and we turned them in. She said that evictions were bad and they would have to run both of our ssn#.

I said ok..lets try. My boyfriend said that he had a ssn# to my suprise, but he always said that he was never worried because he has a tax id number. I waited in the truck while he said he was just gonna tell her that he had no credit. Sure as sugar..she said that she was gonna do "HIM" a favor and help him out. To my suprise we got the apartment in November. By June he decides to leave me without my knowledge. (2012)

The managers came over and told me he put it in writting and they were gona honor it?? They quickly told me that if I found a roomate to come in next month I could stay. So I did. Then they told me that if he doesnt leave untill the 30 days I have to leave. We both paid half the rent! Then they told me I had to pay half a months rent of $400 or I had to leave on the new date of 15 days after the 30 days notice was given. Mind you, my rent wasn't even due yet. wtf?? I found out that she rented the property to him under his fake ssn# credit check.

I'm the american!! Where are rights here? Baffeled at the ridiculous hounding for money..I found another roomate to come in and then they denied our contract. I feel it is because Im white and he is mexican and so is the manager! She accamodated him and exercised california law. But they all broke the law. The property managment company know that these people are comitting felonies and they chose to look the other way. This place is dirty bussiness in my opinion unless you are illegal!
