on July !5, 2010 i paid to nintendo dsi center $29 for a 6 month subscription to use the site to download homebrew nintendo dsi games. As soon as my account was created, i logged into the site to proceed to download games only to discover i first had to make another purchase, a R4 card used to download onto than used as a sd card to put in the nintendo system . The card had to be purchased for another website, which they had links to click on. I was not willing to pay any more money, though the card was a small amount, and felt this information pertaining to the card should have been stated on the front(home ) page , making it aware to the customer. I than proceeded to request a refund, i click on the "contact us" which was a popup window, tried to sent a email that way, but could not, so i logged out and went to my email to sent one there. As of this present time, i have sent neoconsoles numberous amounts of request via email, have forwarded the originals to them. All of my emails were  ignored, ....until, i sent one saying i would make a complaint against them, It was only than that they replied saying they would process my refund in 1-3 business days. Today makes the 6 day, i have not recieved a refund back to my credit card, nor recieved a reply for several more emails asking them where is my refund.

Nintendo DSi Download Center: Not Ironic Just Wrong

AUTHOR: Sandra - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 16, 2011

This is not ironic. I too consider myself pretty computer savy having a degree in computer security. I figured once I bought the membership I would have to pay for individual downloads still. So no it does not automatically appear to be unlicensed. With that being said I did not buy a membership and here is why, just a word of advice to avoid this problem in the future.

The site appears licensed, its connected to the offical site, so all is well right? No. Once clicking on the actual site you will see that the site itself has spellign errors. Something a major company would not allow. Second, and this is what stopped me, when you click on the paymet icon, it only allows Visa( I''m not sure of a company who doesnt accept Master Card), third there are spelling errors, fourth it asks for your bank name ( No other pay site does this, so I would keep a check on your credit report for those of you who had purchased an account.) and most importantly whenever dealing with a payment online you must ensure the web address begins with https. If it does not it is not secure and anyone can access you account informaition without much trouble. If you cannot find a way to pay that begins with https, then it is not worth your money.

To the original poster, I am sorry you got scammed. Thank you however for posting you expierience as it was the final step in ensuring myself that this was a scam. Please do keep an eye on your credit report now.

I was also victim to this rip off and I read all of the relevant fine print. I am a solicitor and there was absolutely nothing about this website or the service it was selling that suggested that it was or could be pirate software - indeed I followed a link from Nintendo DSi's official page to get to this website, which suggested to me that it was genuine and legal.

Somebody pays to join a site that sells illegal copies of video game files and he is complaining of being ripped off?
