Kia of Union City told me that I needed to pay off my 1st car loan before they would approve my new car loan. They asked me to write a check for the balance and they would pay off my 1st car loan. Four weeks after my purchase, my 1st car loan was still outstanding.

My husband and I confronted the sales manager about it and we were told, "for some reason the car was never paid off." I immediately demanded that they give us our $3000.00 dollars back. They kept giving us the run-around and refused to return our money back to us. Finally, after speaking with a Kia store manager, he agreed to return our money back to us. He promised that we would receive our money on the next business day. One week later, no money and we were still getting the run-around. After demanding to speak with the GM, of both Nissan and Kia, we learned that our check had been issued to someone else. This person was listed in their system with my last name, a different first name and a totally different mailing address.

After going back and forth with the General Manager of Nissan/Kia, he flat out accused me of being involved with the person whom the check was issued to. Instead of accepting responsibility of their so-called mistake - which I now believe to be an inside fraud ring - we finally got our money back after involving the Union City Police Department. The police officer told them that if they issued a check to someone else, and the check was cashed, they could face criminal charges. As a result, the GM immediately returned our money to us.

Although our money was returned, there were several issues raised by the GM that demonstrated their fraudulent practices and motives; designed to intentionally scam and defraud people. Among the many things mentioned above, there are several note worthy points I should mention: they cleverly changed my name in their system in order to have the check written to someone they knew, so they (Kia employee's) could benefit from the stolen money. They initially refused to return my money back - sticking to their lies and web of deception - until we involved the police and more importantly, to avoid being brought up on criminal charges.

This company claims to be the #1 dealer in the Atlanta area. I wonder why...how many people have been intentionally defrauded. How many contracts have they altered? We intend to press this issue until this company turns from their WICKED ways or be forced into bankruptcy.

Truthfully,

The Malcome Family

Fraud and corruption takes place every day at auto dealerships all over this land. Fraud and corruption also takes place inside our government each day. And many of us know that fraud and corruption is the driving force that keeps Wall Street going. These are the main reasons that our economy collapsed back in September of 2008. You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN, and watch that documentary on the web for proof.

Feel free to 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- DATELINE NBC CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that segment on the web. You will be able to see a finance manager at a car dealership alter a customer's monthly income in order to get the deal approved at the bank. It was caught on hidden camera.

Finally, feel free to 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: MONEY, POWER AND WALL STREET, and watch it on the web for further proof that our 'system' in the United States has its foundation built on lies, deception, fraud, manipulation, greed, trickery, deep corruption, and the constant pursuit to financially injure the innocent people living here and all over the world.

Good luck to you, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook!

Thanks for telling your story,

We need more people like you very willing to speak up and tell their side of the story. Let me give you some insider information. Contact your lender and ask them to give you a copys of the documents that the dealership sent to them to get your loan approved, IF you completed the Purchase.

Many times the dealers will submit fraudulent loan documents to the banks behind your back to get a auto loan approved. Contact the fraud division of your lender and ask them to send you documents copies of what the dealership submitted to them to get your loan approved.  I'm sure that you do not have a copy of the credit application you filled out when you bought the car. Many car dealers do not want the car buyers to have a copy of the credit application when they leave with their documents and the new car and there's a reason for that.

If you were to get a copy of the credit application you filled out, And were able to get a copy of the documents submitted from the dealer to the bank they might not match. If that was the case you would be a victim of predatory lending and if the dealership submits fraudulent loan documents by wire to a auto lender,  that's wired fraud.

I personally catch dealers doing this all the time. Next you need to call up your auto manufacture if you bought a new car and ask them for copies of the RDR records.  Once you get those post a request and I'll give you more information
