Three weeks ( a day or twor before Thanksgiving) ago my sons alternator went out in his 2003 Nissan Murano.  He is a college student in a town almost 2 1/2 hours away from his home town.  So, we set it up for him to take it to the Ada Oklahoma Nissan Dealership for repair.  This repair requires that they remove the wheel of the car to make replacement of the alternator easier.  It was not until after the issue happened that we found out that within a day of the repair he had felt a slight vibration but did not realize it was due to the service technicians lack of putting the wheel back on properly, so he never took it back in.  This morning 12/21/2013 my son was on his way to work and stopped at McDonald's to get some breakfast and in the drive thru his wheel completely broke off of his car.  He called us and explained what happened and we told him to move it out of the way so that we can get a tow truck to come get it and he explained that it couldnt be moved since the wheel completely broke off.  He had to go inside McDonald's and explain to the manager what had happened and let him know that a tow truck was on its way.  He then had to walk to his work to start his shift.  We attempted to handle all the aspects of getting the vehicle towed and let the service advisor at the Ada Oklahoma Nissan Dealership (Blake) know that it was on its way in for repair despite the fact we were over 2 1/2 hrs away.  Once that issue was dealt with, my husband contacted the service advisor again to let him know what had happened and that he expected that the dealership to cover the cost as it indeed had to be due to a service technicians error as it is not a common occurence that a wheel breaks off.  The service advisor (Blake) said he was certain it could not be the case being as it was their Master Technician and that when the vehicle got there they would look it over and let us know what they concluded.  Hours went by and my husband contacted them to inquire as to what they thought and Blake said that his technician claimed he had never even taken the wheel off so it could not have been due to him not putting the wheel back on properly.  Being as we have no way to prove wether or not he did indeed take the wheel off or not we are at a bit of ones word over another, except fact being that it is quite an unusual coincidence that it was the same side as the repair and that it isnt common for an entire wheel to break off.

Later, after some thought, we called our Nissan Dealership in Tulsa and my husband spoke to the service advisor and explained the situation and asked how it is that they go about the same repair on the same vehicle, he said that despite the fact that it adds a little more time to the repair, the fact that it makes the job alot easier, that their service technicians do indeed take the entire wheel off of the vehicle for that repair.  This proving our point even more that the wheel was removed and they do not want to lose money so they will not accept fault and do the right thing, that is fix the wheel that broke off in a proper manner and apologize for having done so.  When we contacted Blake about what we had found out upon our inquiry with another Nissan Dealership, he argued that even if his technician had put the wheel on improperly that my son would have noticed something wrong immediately (at this time I was unaware that he had noticed a vibration because my son was working and I could not find out the details at that time).  He again insisted that it was their master tech and that he trusted that he would do a good job and doubted he done anything wrong, I explained to him that people make mistakes everyday no matter how well trained you are, and that it happened to be an odd coincidence that the same exact wheel of the side of the repair completely broke off and that I expected it to be repaired by their expense not ours.  He said they would not fix it at their expense because he believed it was not their fault and the argument went on back and forth further ticking me off that these people would not accept their fault in something that so obviously was their fault and just do the repair, but they were just too worried about making their profit off of it as so many dealerships do.  What is worse is he said that he suggested the wheel be replaced and that it could not be in until after Christmas which would leave my son stranded at college for Christmas instead of coming home as he had planned, his only response was that he could give my son a rental which again would be at our expense not theirs despite the fact that we are in this situation because of them.

What A Merry Christmas This Is!!!!  I love how people do wrong and refuse to accept fault in their wrong doings and then good people get screwed because of it.  Thanks So Much Ada Oklahoma Nissan, you guys are indeed a bunch of thieving little crooks, Bah Humbug To You TOO!!!!!  I Hope Your Christmas Isn't Merry Because You Certainly Don't Deserve It!!!!!!
