I have gotten many of the pink ones and just tossed em after reading the fine print.

Today tho I got a yellow post card that says to N.M.E. call 1-800-693-9206 with id # on the other side it says "We are trying to reach you. Please call us at the number shown on the reverse of this card. this is a free call.
sincerely - pat haines sales representative"

The name struck me as familure and then I found this and thought id give an update on what they are trying now.

The point is don't call something if you don't what the company is. This post card had no real indication of who it was from. I did not enter any contest to win anything - did you?

YA, happened to my 15 year old son too, exact same letter, was it pink? LOL But anyway, he just kept it on the desk! We are just blowing it off

This is a big business. And, they've been doing this for many years.

They send out these little postcards telling people to call and enter a contest. That's all a scam.

The idea is to get you to give out your bank account number. That way, they can start taking your money.

I think they actually send some magazines. Of course, $100 or more for one or two subscriptions is NO bargain.

That's how they make tons of money. You pay for the million bucks they give away.

Plus, by sending you magazines, they aren't actually breaking the law. This explains why they are still around.

Buying magazines from this company is like paying $8 a gallon for gas. It's four times more than anyone else charges.

If you want magazines, go to the card in the center of the magazine. That's usually the best deal.

Cut these crooks out of the loop!
