Norman Hawes - Hookups Of Virginia Computer Repair Rip Off in Central Virginia Lynchburg, Virginia

I contacted Norman Hawes to service my computer(s) on the recommendation of a friend. Norman apparently had a large company here in Virginia working on TV installations as well as computers.

Norman came to the house on three successive mondays to service three computers. He was supposed to clean off all the junk and cleanse the hard drives of any viruses and help to protect the computers in the future and make them run better. He was paid on the spot an exorbitant amount and told us to call him if any problems developed.
Problems did develop.

My wife's computer failed to perfrom any better, in fact it performed worse and then finally shut down and would not even power up.

My computer (immediately after Norm left) began showing fatal errors and shutting down without letting me save anything. Now my computer will not start up and run normally and I must junk it.

Why the third computer is not in the junkheap, I do not know, perhaps he got lucky.

In each case I have to have the hard drives removed and the files saved and purchase two new computers to replace the ones that Norman "fixed".

Norman never returned to the house, Norman did not offer any real help, but said he'd walk us through what to do. Norman when asked, refused to return the money he was paid.

Norman has in essence been paid twice, because he not only received our money for the software he sold us, but has now recouped the money from the software companies and is able to resell the same software to others.

I am going to take Norman to court to try to collect what I can. I would strongly discourage anyone from using Norman Hawes for any reason. He charges an exorbitant amount of money he doesn't really know what he is doing, he has no formal training, he has no real tools, and he NEVER answers his phone.
