The day North America Moving came to pick up my furniture, the individual looked at my house and said that the truck they brought would not hold all of my items. And the price of all the items that the truck would hold had increased double in price. My move went from $3,200 to over $6,000.

I called the company and told them the quote that I had received and I could not afford the $6,000 price. I was told that the movers were going to leave and I would lose my deposit. What do you do when everything is planned and you don't have any other choice. I negotiated down to $5,000 which was still $1800. more that I had budgeted.

When the movers were packing them were going to charge me $85.00 to pack my 48'' floor model TV. I told them that the packing supplies were included in the quoted price. That's what I was told. They said no.

To say no more they did not pack my TV and I had to sell it.

When packing my furniture, they picked and chose thing to pack and left items behind that I had to sale because they said the truck was full and nothing else could be put in the truck.

At the same time they were asking me to give them items that would not fit in the truck. The supervisor would not allow me to list what was in the boxes on the itemized sheet as he listed the numbers. The individuals did not speak very good English and it was really hard to understand them.

When the Movers left, they left trash all over the house. They pushed the papers in front of me to sign. I was asking questions and at this point no one spoke English, until they asked for a Tip.

My furniture was supposed to delivered on July 5th, when I called no one knew anything about my delivery. They made excuses about being short help and they would get my furniture to me before the end of the week. That did not happen.

I called several time and got excuse after excuse. At one point the person that I spoke to was very rude. And said that they had 14 days after the written delivery to deliver my furniture. That I needed to read my agreement and he hung up.

I was called on July 8th and said that my furniture would be delivered on the 11th. On July 10 at 5:30 I received a call from the Movers and said that they were at my house. I was 30 minutes away and told them they had to wait.

When I arrived there were only 2 individuals to unload my furniture. When I told them that I had a cashier check for payment, they said that they could not take it and was going to leave with my furniture. I told them to call their boss and let me talk to him. He said the say thing.

I told him that a cashier check was guarantee funds, and his statement was that I could put a stop payment on it. So my furniture would not be unloaded. Upset and scared I tried to go to the bank to get cash. At the time the bank was closed. The supervisor said that they could only take cash or a US Postal money order.

I understand why now. When they finally agreed to take the cashier check it was about 7:30 after my running around trying to get a money order or cash.

When the truck was opened I noticed that it was the same size truck that had picked up my furniture. The truck that picked up my furniture was packed and remembers they left items behind, because all my items would not fit into it. The same size truck that delivered my furniture was half full. They robbed me. Charging me twice the amount that was quoted and saying that the truck would not hold all of my items. And when they returned the same truck was half full.

When they unloaded my furniture and boxes they would not allow me to mark the items off as them bought them in. Here again they communication gap was unbelievable.

They were giving me boxes, curtain rods, and a vacuum cleaner that wasn't mine. I told them that they were not mine and I gave the items back to them. My carpet was soiled my walls marked and holes punched in them.

After looking at the boxes I told them that I was missing some boxes, and items and also 3 oriental rugs were missing. I signed the paper under protest and noted that items were missing and one Oriental rug was soiled. My daughters armoire was broken. But here again they asked for a Tip..

After I checked my items (2 days later) I called and told a young lady that I had several boxes and items missing and items broke. I gave her the number of the boxes missing. About 4 hours later she called and gave me a confirmation number. She stated that it would take a while to locate my items. That was over a month and I still haven't heard from them.

I called several time and never got a return call. I called today 8/10/07 and the system was busy and I again left my name, telephone number, confirmation number and work order number.

I finally received a call from the Rep that had quoted me my price. He told me to send an e-mail with the Lot number, the color to of the numbers and items missing. And they would get on it as soon as possible. I told the individual that I had called several times and his reply was that they've had problems with there phone system.

North America Moving System are Cons that take advantage of people at the time of their move. Knowing that the person has no other choice but to pay the outrages price quoted when they arrive at your door step.

Beware of these individuals.
